My kids are morning people forsure! My younger kids like going to bed around 7pm, if they stay up much past that they're too miserable. All of my kids are usually up by 6am! My 6 year old son is usually up the earliest! He always has been, although he can usually go to bed later than the other kids, he's usually always up before the sun!!
Do your kids go to bed early and wake up early, or do they like to stay up late and sleep in?

Mine are definately night owls, especially my third child. My daughter is more normal, goes to be early, gets up early. None of mine ever needed much sleep as babies though either, which made for a very miserable time for me as the boys never slept at night and my daughter would wake at a certain time, usually my bedtime!

My kids are night owls. That is not really a good thing since my son has to get up for school in the morning. I have never been a morning person either. My kids don't go to bed till around 9 or 10 and then I have to drag them out of bed in the morning.

Sounds alot like mine. Both of mine go to bed early. Aiden by 7..which I am trying to stretch to 8 pm. My daughter in by 8- 830pm. Baby has been up by 6 am and daughter by 7. Sleeping in is a thing of the past. Do you think we should start a support group? MWNN Moms Who Need Naps..lol!!

I am lucky enough that the older kids help take care of the smaller ones for me so I don't HAVE to get out of bed as early as they do. The older 3 make their own breakfast, and will even make breakfast for the smaller 2 (toaster waffles or hot pockets or something simple like that), and my 12 year old will even change the youngest's diaper (my daughter tried to do this once, and put the diaper on backwards...I didn't say anything though). It makes my mornings so much easier.

i am definitely a morning person as well... i always like to sleep in early and wake up early everyday as well because i have to go to work early every morning with my hubby... and i always feel fresher in the morning rather than at night... so i always get more things done in the morning... take care and have a nice day...

My kids are usually morning kids too. My oldest can go to bed at midnight and still be up by 7 or 7:30. My middle one is usually up around then too, but if she gets to bed late she will sleep in a little bit. My youngest seems to be getting up around 7 every day but I think part of it is he needs a bigger bed. He is 2 and in a toddler bed, but I think he tosses and turns so much it wakes him up.

My 3 and half year old is still in a toddler bed and he sleeps fine. Mostly we don't have the space right now for another bed. We know the youngest needs to be moving out of his crib real soon.. he's turning 2 in January and of course climbs out of the crib all the time. If it weren't for the lack of space the 3 year old would have a real bed and the baby would have the toddler bed. Actually at this point we're thinking of getting another set of bunk beds.

My kids are like yours thankfully!! I have always been a morning person so we always get up early and go to bed early!! I LOVED it when my kids went to bed around 7pm, that way I could have some "mommy time" to clean or play on the computer lol Now that they are getting a little bigger we go to bed between 8-9.

My daughter is a definite night owl... she would sleep like 10 or 11 pm no matter how early i put her to bed... and she would wake up around 9 am... and she gets really cranky when i wake he up early... so this will definitely be a problem when she starts school next year...

My oldest and one daughter both like to stay up late and love to sleep in. They are 11 and 9 and they would sleep until 10:00 or 11:00 if they could. The twins are 10 and when they are tired they go to bed. I have never had to really fight with them to go to bed and usually they are done by 9 - 9:30. They are earlier risers than the other2 but that is fine as long as they have gotten enough sleep the night before.

I was raised that way - slept early, woke up before sunrise. My husband is the complete opposite and I'm not sure if my daughter really took after him or is just being influenced by the setup we have here. Anyway, that's fine with me. I try to get her to bed by 9 and since she usually doesn't nap anymore, I don't mind that she wakes up at 8-9 the following morning so she can get in her 12 hrs of sleep. I hope that she'll grow up to be an early bird like me though. :)

My dids are definitely not morning people. I tease them and tell them they are the closes things to vampires that i know. I feel like my day is half over before their day begins. You can only imagine what school days are like! You would think I was asking for a kidney when it's time to get them up for school! If my kids were up before 6 am, I would have to wonder what they were plotting. My kids like to go to bed late and sleep late. I don't think early is in their vocabulary.

I have always been a night person. I like to stay up until the sun rises, and sleep till about 12 noon. LOL I don't know why I just get into something I'm doing, and lose track of time, and then I need my few hours of sleep, so because I lost track of time the night before, I always end up sleeping later the next day. LOL

Hello,
My children are early people, they love to go to bed around 7pm or 8pm, anytime after that , I notice a huge change in them to the point it seems, as if they can not function, as ffo rthem getting up early or sleeping in, I will have to say on some days they sleep in and some days they awake early. Happy My Lotting!

My toddler son, he's 22 months old and this 3 months he always up at 7am, go to bed around 8, latest would be 9pm. But he always have at least 1 hour nap everyday. Without nap, he will be so cranky in the afternoon. I guess 7am is allright but I'm not really morning person, not really easy to just get up, sometimes I just let him play for few minutes more in his cot when he just up. And the nap is good, so I can have my "me" time when he's having one but sometimes not really good when some friends inviting us for lunch, I tried once to take him to my friend's place and skipped his nap, I thought he can sleep in the car or in my friend's place, but then ended up he was sooo cranky. Most of my friend's kids do not have proper schedule everyday so they always ok to take their kids anytime. I don't know whether with or without schedule, which one is better.

My kids stay up late at night especially during holidays. My husband's a nocturnal person. I became one and so are my kids. However, as a mother, I try my very best to keep my children happy and at the same time healthy. During school days when they're required to go to school early, I force them to go to bed early so they can get at least 9-10 hrs sleep. When they sleep late on weekends, I tell them to wake up late and get straight sleep of at least 9-10 hrs. Happy Mylotting!
