What do you think the future will hold for laptops? Do you think that there will be any major technology breakthroughs with them in the next few years?

Definitely. Now we see laptops that are super thin, and with the rise of netbooks and Intel Atom, things will be getting smaller and slimmer. Hard to predict the future, but we will be expecting new technology breakthrough soon for laptops.

Actually there are two already, but both of them are in tablet form, the 10" Apple tablet (featured in cnet.com) and the rumoured 7" Microsoft Tablet PC, already featured in Gizmodo.com, both falls in the portable computers category so a good choice if you want to replace your aging laptops.

well i believe that as day pass by, the technology is goin to make things smaller and easier to use.. as there are technologies where you can listen to music or even check ur mails even without booting ur machine, i expect more advanced application in the nxt few yrs that would probably make life easier and man lazier..lol..
