Travelling is far far away...

I can read and hear so many people boasting that they love travelling including me. Yet how many of us can afford that?
I know for westerners travelling is extremely easy with fewer expenses compared to those in China and more freedom to go on vacation.
I work for a private company, and it's impossible to ask for a leave for travelling unless you leave this company forever. So travelling for me and many peers is unreachable. Only short period during national holidays can we spare a few days, normally one day to three days to leave hometown or even take a trip within our hometown.
So, even though I put traveling into my interest catalogue, I find I don't have much to talk on this because I am not lucky as some of you to go to Rome this week and Venice next week.
I do want to travel alone to Greece, but to get a visa is near impossible because officers may doubt it though I actually can afford an overseas trip.

It is a shame that you don't get many holiday time off work. Even if you save you will then have the money but not the time. I am sorry to hear of that situation. Maybe you will be able to travel when you retire. Otherwise it might be possible if you change jobs. For example work for your company until 2009 then spend a year traveling around the world. You would have ten years to save up for your trip.
I am a primary school teacher and even when I work full time in a permanent contract I get school holidays. I have completed one teaching contract and then gone off traveling for several months. Then I have come home to begin another teaching contract. That is how I was able to spend Christmas and New Year in New Zealand back in 2001.
Good luck.

Hello. I do get to travel often. I should say I am very lucky to have the possibility to travel tp many countries in different parts of the world. It is expensive, yes. My trips are business trips, and the company I am working for takes care of the costs. If I were to travel at my own costs, I won't be able to do it. May be just only in my own country.
