Internet addicts!!=== Are you one of them?

I did not believe before that internet can be addicting. Sometimes you get so hooked up you didn't notice that your life is revolving around it already. Are you like me? 1. My mind at work would usually drift to what will I open or search on the internet when I log in later. 2. A day without an internet is like I did not accomplish anything for that day at all. 3. Even if I come home late in the evening, say, 11 or 12 or even in the wee hours of the morning, I still would be able to log in even if my eyes are shutting by itself. 4. I refuse to accept that I am addicted to the internet. If you have this symptoms, then I guess we are on the same club.

I am totally addicted to the internet. Growing up in the 60's & 70's when there was no internet, we had to do everything the hard way. Hahah, I sound like an old foggy, but it is true. I am in the music business and when I think of what I had to do to promote and get the word out back in the early 80's compared to now, I just don't know how I did it all those years. The internet has opened the world of communications and graphics and brought it right to your lap. I started out in 1986 with the Apple 512K, ever since I have spent way too much money and time on computers and the internet. Enough to buy a house I am sure. I just accept that I am an addict and hope I don't OD. So I guess we are in the same club. Happy surfing frenzybabe!

Believe me I know all too well about piracy on the internet. It is getting harder to sell music than ever before. In the old days people had to make tapes to trade music, now you can put out an album one day and the next day or same day in some cases anyone can download it for free off some pirate site. I think we will see the music business change along with other business on the net. Oh how I long for the days of vinyl.

I used to be. Several years ago when I first got the internet, I spent more than 12 hours a day online. I would eat in front of the computer. To be fair, part of it was I was running an online business at the time and needed to know what was going on most of the time. But it got obsessive.

good thing you got over it, i hope. Well at least, the internet has opened a lot of opportunities from business to jobs. I just hope that some people would not go overboard in their addiction with the internet. and Im one of those people. =P

HAHAHA!! I am guilty of all these things, except probably #4. I've long since admitted to my internet addiction. I have one more symptom to add though, and that is when you've done all you need to do online, and is really out of things to do, and you know you should turn off the dang computer and sleep, you still get on a search engine to look for something to do online. I do this a lot LOL! I used to be a TV addict as well, and when there is absolutely nothing to watch I still cannot help but flip from one channel to another. I guess my addiction has moved on to the internet now.

I am guilty without a doubt, truly the internet is really addicting but we should set a limit within ourselves for us not to go overboard because we still need to have socializing time with our family and friends and we still need to go out, right?

yes we do need to make time for our family and friends too. i, myself make sure that i get to go out with friends and have dinner with my family. i just sometimes have this attitude when im out with them, i still think that i should log in already. but of course i really don't want to have this addiction affect my social life in any way because it is not normal anymore.

I cannot call myself as internet addict as the word is too extreme to uses for me. You develop on all things and that includes internet as it contains variety of information with in depth sources. I do my surfing every afternoon till the evening. Then, during the day I could not do it for being busy with other commitment.

Well, I am from the same club. May be a degree more advanced. I get up. I switch on this friend of mine, and then go to freshen up. By the time I am back, it is loaded, ready to serve me. I hate getting up when the maid comes to sweep and mop the room.

Well I must admit that I am one. I spend almost 75% of my day over the internet. My facebook is always on 24/7. I feel as if I lost a lot whenever I was not able to log in to the internet.

b-r-a-v-o. I totally agree. I do sometimes wish our connection in our workplace is not just intranet. I really hope it is already an internet but i guess, i won't be able to concentrate in my work if i am able to log-in the internet during work hours.

Though I am not an addict at present, soon I will become ..No doubt in that..Nowadays. if my internet connectivity fails for more than 3 hours, I am moving to the internet cafe..Else I will become tensed..My system is always online even if I am not working with it..Because I don't like the delay of 5 minutes to access the internet , that I have to wait if I switch off the system and modem.Am I in your club or will join soon? Not sure..But my friends are saying me as like that only.
