my friend lent me her sauna belt for tummy and i used it every time i am facing the computer, i just wish that it could help flatten up my tummy since it started to bulge after giving birth to my second child. it seems to be so hard to make it flat, i am lazy about exercising and other sort of stuffs.

I think you know it - Exercise.
I have never been able to understand Sauna belts and like things. As "undertheoath" states, they dehydrate body and are garbage. I hope you can find something that motivates you to move yourself rather then hoping for machines to do things for you.

Sauna belts are garbage. They only dehydrate the surrounding areas for little or no satisfaction. The best way is to lose the stomach fat through exercise. If you want to lose it immediately you should consult a doctor. You can also surgically have it removed, but it is painful and costly. Basically, exercise & diet or surgery. And remember when you exercise fat is not burned at the area you use the most, it is dissolved throughout the body equally when it is needed.

that would be helpful, i'm afraid of removing fats surgically, it's scary, better have a bulging tummy than going to a surgeon, by the way you are right, happy mylotting.

There are some specific yoga moves targeted towards the belly but I don't know the specifics. Strectches should help a lot and please stay away from crunches. You don't want to build musclemass there. As for the yoga,I'm not sure about how effective the yoga streches will be becuase I have always had a flat stomach even before I started doing yoga. It is still worth a try.

I am sorry, but if you have always had a flat stomach, congratulations, but you don't really understand how difficult it is for the rest of us to get a flat stomach. The older you get the harder it gets. The best yoga move I have tried is simply holding in your stomach as hard to your backbone as you can (while breathing) for a count of 15 for about 10 reps. This is something you can do in many situations, several times a day. The other thing that works for me is not yoga, but equally effective. Take a broom handle or baseball bat and hold it with both hands horizontally over your head. Start by holding each end of this object with both hands strait up like a field goal. Turn the object your are holding over your head, while twisting back and forth at the waist. This works to bring in the sides as well as flatten the bulge. I have seen people who do a hundred crunches a day that don't have muscle mass in their stomach, but everyone is different. Whatever works for you, make it something simple because chances are you will always need to do a certain amount of this exersize or stretch to maintain that flat stomach.

There are other ways beside exercise. You can do fasting, be more fussy about what yo want to eat( so you won't feel like eating everything that seems tempting)and attend to more important things to distract yourself. My sister is once overweight and...plus sized, and hate exercises, but she doubled up doing house chores, sleep without turning the fan or the air conditioner on, do a lot of sudoku ( hey, they say doing maths burns ), dance while cooking/ thinking/ folding clothes.
The main keys are controlling what goes into your body, and avoid letting your body idle ( means make it constantly moving) at all times except sleeping, and patience. Do you know, swaying your legs while sitting at you desk can also help burns some of those extra fat. So, keep doing things you have fun with, and in the long way, you won;t even realize how much you lose. Stress free and fat free, who don't want that?

Fasting is an unsafe form of dieting in which you starve your body. It is not effective and after a while the body will start to atrophy the muscles you have and eat that away. Starvation is never the answer. Sure it is ok to occasionally do, but if you fast for more than 2 or 3 days, detrimental affects to your body will occur. Your diet, if it is going to be "extreme" should not be less than 1100 calories and not last for more than 16 weeks. If you are serious about it, go to a dietitian.

I watched a tv program one time in which the trainer said to hold your tummy in as long as you can through out the day. I haven't tried it personally but felt that how could you do that without holding your breath. But supposedly you are supposed to hold you tummy in and not hold your breath at the same time. Then again excersice, healthy diet and other proven methods are the best option. Surgery should be on the bottome of the list if even appear on the list.

Just do some abdominal exercises and that is the best and natural way to flatten your tummy.Being lazy to do is not a good excuse.Just spare some 15 minutes daily and you can see the difference in a month time.Don't say,you can't spare that much little time in a day.Cheers!

Hi xannebull, i've also tried the sauna belt, but the results are disappointing. It's not worth using it, it does not burn out the unwanted fats as claimed by the manufacturers, all it does is just dry out some body fluids that's all. why don't you try some sort of exercises, like sit ups, aerobics, yogas etc. i believe this exercises have much better results than using sauna belts. Thank you!!!!

hi xannebull,as u want to loose wait without exercise and any other means.i suggest u to take calabash which is also called as bottle gourd.it is an vegetable very easy to find.
in order to loose ur extra fat take 1 glass of calabash juice(remove the seeds) thrice a week that is every alternate day it really works nd i am suggesting it coz my frnd have lost weight by this nd it is productive (do not have anything for 2 hrs after u take da juice). As dis a vegetable so no fear of having any side effects.
but do not start with 1 glass of it directly.start with one-fourth of a glass try to gradually increase until ur capacity increases to 1 full glass.if u start with a full glass you may feel really tired tats y start with one-fourth of a glass.if u follow dis for a month you can c da change.have a nice day.

Of course this won't have a great affect if you don't loose most fat infront of stomach muscle. When breathing in push belly out. Then when breathing out pull belly in. Helps tighten and strengthen tummy muscles.

The sauna belt will not make your tummy flat. What it does is make you sweat. This is good because the sweat rinses out your pores from the inside out. Your skin will become very clean, it is really hygienic. But it does not burn fat.
It is not possible to burn fat on a specific area of the body, like the tummy. When exercising, fat from any part of the body is used regardless of which muscles are being trained. This is why big women have large reasts and women with flat bellys have smaller ones (however, because of your baby, you will need large reasts anyway so that will not really be an issue for you).
So, because body fat can be reduced by exercising any part of the body there is no point in focusing on the tummy or putting a belt around it.
You say you are too lazy to exercise, but it doesn't have to be the really exhausting exercise. How do you feel about taking a one hour walk every day? Or if you normally drive a car, why not try riding a bicycle (don't forget the helmet)? It's environmentally friendly, and if you live in a large city it might even go faster than the car during rush hour.
I also recommend that you stop eating sugar. I'm not talking about fruit or milk sugars, I mean the refined sugar found in candy, softdrinks and icecream. It's very fattening.
Another problem after a pregnancy is that the skin around the tummy might be a bit too large, because it has been stretched so much. It might be somewhat flappy when you get down to your normal size, because the skin has lost some of its elasticity. To fix this, there are two things you can do. One is to use some lotions on the skin that make it more elastic, the other is to exercise the muscles around the tummy. The muscles on the sides and above and below the tummy can stretch the skin more if they are stronger. I think it's best to combine these two methods.
(Of course the third solution would be to eat more to fill up the extra space, making the skin streched again, but that would undo the flattening of the tummy which is the subject of this discussion.)
After writing such a long response, maybe I should point out that I am not a doctor or anything. I have no expert knowledge about this, but I am confident that you can flatten your tummy by following my advise.
Good luck!

That is a great way
but you must add running
not only will you get thinner
but your abdomen muscles will begin
to show becuase they are usaully under
a layer of fat
