I'm very interested to hear this. I want to know whether you like cats or dogs better and why you do. I have had both types of animals growing up. I think they both have their pros and cons.

Dogs have owners and cats have staff, I will not have an animal that sits there and licks itself while sorry frickin robbers loot my house. A dog will bark and wake you up so you can take care of the problem, a cat will crap in a box, nuff said.

I've seen a lot of dogs that will lick themselves to no end also. Not to mention some people leave their dogs outside in their yard at night for hours and the dog will bark nonstop.

If you train them properly, cats are actually better guard animals than dogs.

I love animals period. You are right they both have pros and cons. If i have a dog i prefer little dogs that can be better in the house. Little dogs remind me of cats. Although i never tried to litter train a dog. It may work. Thats why i like cats because you can litter train them. Taking a dog outside is a pain in the butt. You can go on a vacation and leave a cat alone in the house. A dog you cant do that.

I like the idea of cat's using the litter box too and you don't have to walk them or worry about stepping in their poop outside.

Around here city laws say you must pick up after your dogs. Many parks and dog parks have these things on post that have bags for that purpose. Dogs just seem so more needy than a cat. Even if you are successful at litter training a tiny cat sized dog there is still so much you have to do for a dog than a cat. A cat you can leave out enough food and water and 2-3 litter boxes you can go on a week or a 2 week vacation without any worries. Not with a dog.

I like dogs alot better than I do a cat. Cats just do not like me for some reason and they are not as teachable or friendly like dogs are. I never could potty train one either and their nails really hurt. A dog is my best friend.

I like them both. and we have 2 dogs and a cat. I think that having dogs takes a lot more time to take care of, they require more attention.

Yes they do require more attention. You can't leave them for long either without having to walk them.

I like both and have had both all my life. I do like cats better though if I had to pick a avorite. Cats are cleaner, they also are easier to potty train. They are more cuddley too. Dogs usually listen and mind better then cats, cats have a mind of their own and do what they want.

hi shar they both have their good and bad points but I like cats better because they are so aloof and they feel that we are their pets not vice versa. I also like dogs but cats win by a few points. I had both cats and dogs also while growing up.

I don't like dogs. They smell and make everything they touch smell too. They are noisy, needy and can't take care of themselves. If you go away for three or four days at a time, you have to either board your dog(s), take them with you, or have a friend come to take them for a walk and feed them. Cats have a box that needs cleaned if you are going to be gone for a longer period, like eight or ten days or more but three or four days is no big deal. They will also ration their food once they realize you aren't going to be around to give them more, which usually doesn't take any longer than when you don't come home when you normally do, after work or whatever. And I like that they have those ancestral memories of being revered as gods in their past lives Cats are just cooler.

I have 3 cats and 3 dogs. I like them both. They both have their good and their bad. I had my cats first, so I probably would say I'm attached to them the most. They are very lovable and my littlest one always sleeps on my lap. My dogs are great too, but they need more work. I love all my babies.
