How to Run Windows on a Mac?

There are numerous differences between Mac OS X and Windows. According to the Macs fans, Macs are great while Windows computers are just dog meat.
However, for those of us out there who love Macs, but just can't completely escape from the world of Windows, there are many really good ways to run Windows programs on a Mac.
Now, I want to buy a new PC and all my friends advise me to buy a Mac. However, I am not familiar with Mac OS X, so, I plan to run Windows on the Mac. Do you have any experience on the situation? Although this idea sounds so stupid, I really want to have a try.

i think, u gotta ask in any of the apple store of running windows in MAC, in older days it is impossible to run windows in MAC, but now days i heard that it's easy to run windows in MAC....But once if u have MAC, then why do u need windows??
any how my pretty advice is not to run windows in Apple...i'd suggest windows is more and more compatible only in intel and not in apple...
i asked the same question here in mylot in the vice-versa order, how to install MAC in Intel Machine, if u know the procedure, please guide me...because i did not get any response for the discussion which i started of running MAC OS in intel..

Hi gunagohan, you can install mac OSX in your pc but let me tell this first, all the latest macs today uses intel processor so running windows on macs is really easy. About running mac osx running in your pc, your have two choices, You can use the original Mac os but you have to do some tweaking or just use the tweaked version Hackintosh, as the name says, it's a hacked Macintosh OS. One issue here is the hardware specially the motherboard, because the driver database of the Mac os is very limited, you might have this problem that some of your devices may not run like wifi, audio etc.

could you guide me through to install MAC in my PC, tellme some proper website, that should illustrate me very clearly to install MAC in my pc..
i would be very happy if i succeed...
about my hardware, my motherboard is intel 31Gr and my processor is Dual Core at 2GHz and i have 1GB of Physical Memory(RAM) and 160 GB of Hard disk , will i be able to run MAC with this configuration??

hi getbrowser, ofcourse you can run windows on Macs. By using bootcamp, it's a utility inside Mac OSX, that will help you create another partition on your hardisk and install windows on that partition. So you can dual boot your mac by pressing the option key and you choose which partition/OS to you want to load. All the windows drivers are provided on the cd's included when you buy mac. Also if you want, you can run windows inside Mac OSX via third party softwares like parallel or VM fusion, so your windows will run on your mac just like a program.It's best of both world, you can have windows and mac osx on one computer. If budget is not an issue, go for the mac, you won't regret it

You have to buy windows an install it, then you have to run the program called bootcamp, on your mac an thats how you run windows an windows only applications.
I have a mac, an I will not instal windows on it, because if you install windows you get all the windows problems, virur's spyware,adware, but It stays with windows. the only reason I would install windows is to play windows only games, and applications I would not use to browse at all, I would stick with Safari.
