Do you hate getting interupted when you are on Mylot?

hi jugsjugs oh yes I really do as my motormouth roomie is at it again right now. for one thing she calls out news and startles me so I hit the wrong key and wish I had some duct tape for just a few minutes lol. But I cannot hurt her, she is my roomie and I have to live with her. So I mumble things to her and just go on mylotting. I have bills to pay so cannot just sit and listen to her for hours. let her find her own amusement once in awhile. I really hate being interupted by anyone really.

my youngest always interupts me while i'm on here,i hate it,i'm for ever saying leave me alone for 5 mins while i just finish this post

Oh yes, don’t I! when I am mylotting in office, I know that interruptions are bound to come and office work is definitely more important…so in my free time if I am mylotting and somebody wants me to do some work, I stop mylot immediately and pay attention to that job. However, its at home that the irritation is really unbearable. As it is the home computer is shared by hubby, our son and myself…so you can well imagine the demand. Well hubby thinks his office files & mails are more important, our son thinks he needs to play games (taking a break from studies) every alternate hour and poor me is left with no choice but to adjust with them. However, after finishing all my work when I do get the time for some mylotting and then if somebody disturbs me, it really gets my goat!

Not really, I mean there are times I am in the middle of a discussion and my husbands says something, but that's usually in response to something I've said, so really it's my fault when and if I do get irritated. I have before, but am trying to work on that. It's never really quiet here except for 11 Am to 1 pm or sometimes 11 AM to 4 PM, with sometimes it even being 10 AM etc... FIL works third, Hubby works 1st or 2nd, and MIL works 1st...

Well I don't worry about it, since I like to multitask, but I do like to set up alone time to do my admin chores. Since I live alone I don't get too many distractions

i think someone all hate that ,if you work hard to do something that people getting interupted make the things can not proceed,maybe you don't feeling okey that you will getting angry,even affect you mood!so that we all hope the things progressed smoothly,and you?

Yes, I do. Usually, I do myLot for part of my evening PCA shift. There's no one here but me, the cat, and my assistant. People don't usually call at that time so I can work in peace. If I'm working on myLot for a really long time, I will more so divide it among shifts so different people help me.

I can only do Mylotting when I am at work. When I am at work and I have extra time I will visit Mylot. When I am busy Mylotting then a work arrived for me to finish that is an instant interruption and I hate it. But I have no choice but to prioritize my regular job than Mylotting. What i do is to finish it first then if I have time I will be back in Mylotting. I really hate interruption, because I have the urge to post and post my response here and then I will be cutted by anyone, the energy will be lower.

The only interruptions I get when I am in here is my daughter will either call me or text message me, so I do get distrated, and in between messages I will try to finish my post, but then I have to read what I have already written, so it makes sense, as I sure don't want to write something tht is jibberish. Another interruption I get from time to time, is my dogs, as they will want out when I am trying to post a respoonse, and there again, I have to read it to make sure I don't add anything that doesn't make sense. Other than thosw two things, I can come in here and post and not have to worry about anytone bothering me. Good luck to you and hae fun.

It really bothers me to be writing on MyLot and being interrupted... ITs awful, because you have things in mind and suddenly, you forget about everything and then it is hard to recover it. MyLot is an opinion site, and i think it an opinion is one of the few things that can´t be interrupted! Anyway, i won´t start shouting and screaming if someone interrupts me in need of something but it is a bit stressing. I guess this is a general feeling, or not?

Hi, It is quite interesting to work and offer responses on mylot.But many a times power shut down creates a problem which is definitely an inturruption. I do hate such things and get disturbed when I am writing a response which always deviates my thinking line.Thanks. Happy my lotting.

I always get disturbed when I do something very seriously and with high concentration. When I work - I don't want to get interrupted by any thing or anyone. This is very annoying for me. Same goes with mylot, when I posting something here and I don't want get interrupted.

yes,i agree with you very much,i am very heat to be disturbed when i am doing something ,especisally when i am do something that need attention, if i stop my handside things to to the other thing ,when i came back ,i have to do the previor thing again, which bring me too muchu trouble. I still do not like be disturbed when i am sleeping,once disturbed i will hesdeck,it s a survive for me .

Hate getting interrupted no matter what I am doing. It's hard with a 5 year old to do anything without getting interrupted. So I am tested on my patience constantly. I do spend a lot of time on Mylot since discovering Mylot, so, I understand when my daughter comes up to the computer and puts her smiley face picture in front of the screen to get my attention.

Hi dear! I don't like my concentration to drop, when I'm working here on mylot. I want complete peace and when I write my responses, I try to concentrate fully and forget about my surroundings and what is going on around me. If someone keep distracting me, I just log off and listen to him/her.

Dear friend, Not always as I hardly get interrupted while doing something on computer. Even though interrupted I would go according to importance and urgency in that interruption. But if my internet connection gets interrupted it would be uncomfortable.

Hi jugsjugs. Most of the time that i go on mylotting, i want to concentrate with posting. When i am in the office, i don't have to complain if there are clients that i need get attended, of course, work is my priority. In the house, i also don't want to be disturbed, but i also want to give attention if my wife needs something from or the kids needs help with something. Even if i don't want to, i could not complain. Neil

Hey there jugsjugs It is not easy to find a quiet time to come on myLot especially when you have kids and especially when it is half term hahaha Sometimes I like to be disturbed because then I get to have a break if I have been on here a long time!!

I get a little ‘touchy’ whenever I am interrupted while I’m writing whether it’s MyLot or anywhere else. I have a love of writing and I get very involved on what I am doing and I am so totally focussed that interruptions can be most irritating. I have an office but I don’t like locking myself away so I can’t really blame anyone for approaching me while I work!

I get interrupted all the time. At the moment we have a puppy in the house, so I often have to leave the computer and clean up the mess that he has created I live with my husband, and he is really talkative, and he tends to interrupt me all the time when he wants to ask me something, comment on something, discuss something with me etc. Sometimes I get annoyed when I get interrupted, but most of the time it is not a big problem. It often takes me ages to write a short post, because I have to do a lot of other things while I am writing.
