I think swimming is the best exercise amongst all the sports. It accelerates all the parts of our body at the same time. The person takes it a regular habit will not fall into any disease easily. The children gains their height well if they adopts this practice on a regular basis.

At any age, anybody can learn swimming. It will take just one or two day, if you get a good trainer. Then under a good trainer, you will be a perfect swimmer after one month. And one more thing I want to tell. If you know swimming, you will never forget it in your life, although you have left it afterwards.

hi, swimming is surely excellent exercise. But I don't think it the best because not everyone has the access to it as often as one likes.
For example, if I want to have a swim, I normally have to go to a swimming pool, which is at least eight kilos away !
Besides, it really costs. The ticket price is around 20 RMB, that's 3 USD, and 20 RMB accounts for 1% of an average individual's whole month salary.
If the fare is ok, then here comes another problem. I can only to go a swimming pool after work, empty-stomached. So I have to eat either before swimming or after; that's another unnecessary expense. And the worst of all, when I finish swimming, remember how far it is from my home? and how late when I am finished? yes, it's both far and late. So I usually have to take a taxi. That's another 20 RMB. In all, a single one-person swimming would cost me 50 RMB or so, that's over 7.00 US dollars.
so, from the above, you can see that even if money is not a problem, time and energy are .

If there is a will, surely you will overcome all the difficulties. I have removed so many difficulties from my life because of a strong will power. Try to find an easy solution and then place and money will not be a problem for you.

I am fully agree that except a profession, we can't go to the swimming pool everyday. But, as I have told that my asthama was cured due to swimming after a fw years. I was advisd by doctor to do so. It is correct that you may get cough and cold initially, but after a few years of prolonged practice and habbits, you will overcome so many problems. Even, your immune system will work better.

yap its true but sometimes if you push your self to the limit in swimming it could give you colds, cough and even muscle pain but if you just doing it as exercise its highly recommended for cardiopulmonary exercise.

I heard swimming is a good exercise. Unfortunately, I don't know how to swim, and I have been scared to go back to a pool ever since some people pushed me in one and held me underwater to the point I drowned and fell to the bottom of the deep side. I had developed a fear for pools, and never learned how to overcome it.

Hello Akarshan, and welcome to MyLot.
I agree that swimming is one of the best exercises out there. Even for people who for physical reasons cannot take a long walk, swimming might work well for them, since it bears the weight of and buoys the body as we exercise it.
I've always loved to swim!

Thanks for the response. I just left the swimming because I have started singing as well as acting career in the later age of my life. I was getting cough and cold and my voice was just choking and making hindrance in my role. I am afraid that I will never be able to go for swimming again to keep my throat intact and ready for the rehearsal.

swimming really is a very helpful sport. it keeps you fit, energizes you and even prevents the occurrence of illness. the best thing about it, though, is you get to enjoy it with a lot of people at the same time. all you need is yourself,a couple of friends, the sun (or even the moon) and the water! =)

Swimming is an excellent full body exercise! You work your cardiovascular system while at the same time you build strength! Efficient swimming requires you to have a tight core, so if you begin a swimming training program, you will notice a difference not only in your arms and legs, but definitely in your core without even doing a situp! Also, it is considerably less strenuous on your body, such as with running and your knees.

I think swimming is one of the best ways to lose weight. My friend told me that she did lose weight for doing swimming lessons. I want to lose weight too and I am considering swimming to be included in my lists of activities to keep me fit and lose weight.
My two sons love to swim and this is a good motivation for me to take swimming seriously. My husband is a good swimmer too.
