Hi mattier, that is so exciting, i have done a few baby shower already and every time i plan and prepare one its still fun, i like to share with you some of the basic things i did. First of all you need to know if the baby is a girl or a boy. from there you can start to plan for a the theme of the shower. i had one boy and one girl shower what i did was a jungle baby shower for the boy and a disney princess for the baby girl. of course everything in the design should follow 2 things the theme and baby items, you need to get a place where you plan to set up this occasion, i was also in a budget so i had to do most of the decors in DIY, i printed out baby rattle, baby pacifiers and baby bottle in coloured papers an cut them out then put them in strings and made it hang from the house ceiling well tah is if your house ceiling is low, if not you can just put it on the walls. i also got some jungle animals drawings to put on the walls as well and pictures of the disney princess too, you can find this in the internet, you can seach "printable jungle animals/disney princess" or "coloring book ..." when i had my decor i planned for the invitation, i made on my own a diaper shaped invitation card, you can use other baby items too as a design. i also made a banner for the occassion but i do know there are available banners now in the market. i also prepared a door sign for those people who will look for your place, they will surely know there are in the right house when they see it, and the best part of all was the center piece of the occassion where i made a diaper cake. a 4 layer cake made from diapers with a design following the theme of the party. if you want to learn how to make one just let me know i can post it here too. of course the food is there and games.

My best friend is having her first baby in March so while I am home from school for winter I am supposed to help plan a baby shower for her. I don't know anything about doing it! I think it will be pretty small though- her only family is her parents, and she doesn't hang out with that many people. For us we will probably just do like a little luncheon or dinner or something like that, decorate a bit, and do some presents.
