I am planning to buy a laptop which is handy and small but I do not know what to do since I have no time to check the specifications of each laptop. Kindly help me decide. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

hi cristina_2008, if you do want a new laptop that is convenient to use, try looking up netbooks, those are laptops which are small. since you don't have the time to check for the specifications, it is much better for you to buy the hp brands. they look nice and the specifications are good as well.

Ohh. .you make me jealous,im still savings my money to buy a laptop. .well,if you want to buy a laptop,do not see the brand . First time you must check RAM size !! more higher is better !! depend on what OS you wanted to use. minimal RAM is 1 Gb for running windows vista. Second is hardisk, and then other features such as wifi, built in card reader, and dvd combo. That is minimal requirement for standard laptop. i hope it can help. If you need more specified,PM me.

Yeah you go with netbooks that's suites your needs. There are a lot of netbooks out there but I recommend you to buy an HP netbook it's small but very elegant in style that's what i've been using right now. You could carry it anywhere without the too much weight. So far the performance is just fine for what I need which is just surfing the net and typing some stuff. The only not so nice with it is the webcam so dark but i don't need it anyway.

If you really want handy and small, try and look for asus eeepc's or acer aspire one, you can also check hp mini's, these are laptops without optical drives or simply called netbooks. They are really small and very handy compared to full sized laptops, you can even lift it by your fingers and will fit on medium size shoulder bags.

I appreciate your comment. My current laptop is an Acer with 12" screen. It's kinda heavy especially when I bring it to my work. I am planning to buy an MSI but I am not sure if it is a good one. Anyway, taga-Malabon po pala kayo, nung bagyong Ondoy, diyan ako nakitulog haha, buti hindi masyadong binaha.

yes, definitely it's heavy, add to that the weight of the other things you might have in you bag, it'll be heavier. Msi is a good brand, you can go for it. These netbooks has similar configurations anyway with the same price range so it's up to your preferences which one would you like to buy. But to remind you, this netbooks are not that fast compared to those full sized laptops, if your work uses power hungry apps, netbooks might not deliver the necessary resources it will need. Check the malls specially cyberzones in sm to have a feel on these netbooks. Oh really you were here?where in malabon? Dito ko sa concepcion :) , fortunately I was in angeles that time and I was not able to really feel the wrath of Ondoy. But my family has, fortunately their all fine. :(

I own two HP laptops and I'm quite happy with the way they work and their looks. You may try browsing HP website for more information. You can get both Built-in and made-to-order or custom built laptops from HP.

I think it really depends on what you want to do with it, and what you want on it. Some computers have more on them than ohters. I really don't know one from another, as I have only had compaq and now a gateway. I didn't like the compaq to much, but I do like the gateway. It seems to do everything that I need it to do. I think it all depends on hardware in the computer, like the video card and such. I think it all depends on the size of the hard drive too. Mine says 320 gig, but it is no where that big, as it has been partitioned, with 111 gig on each. I don't know why they say the hard drive is one thing and it ends up being something else. I have never really understood that. But, then I am an older person and I don't understand a lot sometimes. I just know that I liek my gateway, at least so far. Take care, and happy mylotting.
