I guess I should say I am dessert addicted to some extent. I just want to enjoy a nice dessert after the main meal. I like cakes, fruits, ice creams, sweets ! My favorite dessert is ice cream. I would have chocolate ice cream most often. Yummy, yummy ! How about you ? Do you enjoy having dessert after meal ? And, what is your favorite for a dessert ?

Yes, indeed, people get very much addicted to desserts. Yet, I do understand what you are saying. Some desserts may add too much fat, and has to keep under control.

Unless I am having pizza, dessert is the best part of the meal! My supermarket makes the best doughnuts. They are my fav these days. The best meal is having pizza and then 2 doughnuts! My all time favorite is cake .I have two types I love .My birthday cake is always store bought yellow cake with white buttercream frosting .My favorite cake to make is chocolate cake with lemon frosting.

Yes, having dessert after meal is my favorite too. But here, we only get to enjoy fresh fruits for ordinary days. Like bananas, papayas, water melon and cantaloupe and other fruits in season. Ice cream is only served on special holidays like fruit salads and other sweet tasting desserts too.

Hi Sweetie. Nice to see you. Fresh fruits are very enjoyable and, in different ways, have health values too. I like bananas and papayas.

I love desserts My favourite dessert is tiramisu. I started eating tiramisu when I was living in Italy, and I didn't like it at first, but now I love it. I also like icecream very much. I don't know what my favourite icecream is, I guess I like most of them I also love sweets and cakes. When I eat at a restaurant I like to have icecream or cake for dessert, and I often choose icecream with fruits and chocolate. When I eat at an international restaurant I usually like to try one of the common desserts from that country.

Yes, international restaurants serve different varieties of desserts. I get the chance to try them when I travel to different countries. By the way, I have not had tiramisu. What would it be similar to ?

I'm not much of a dessert eater anyway but after a meal...ugh...NO! I get full really easily. I eat a lot of mini-meals in order to maintain a healthy weight. After eating a meal, there is no way that I've got an appetite for dessert. Once in a great while I get a craving for icecream or something sweet but not often. If someone makes a homemade pie....oh you bet, I'm all over it. Homemade anything is always tempting. Store bought desserts even ones bought from the bakery section don't tempt me at all. My grandmother and mother baked everything from scratch. Nothing compares to that. Mixes and ready made....don't compare at all.

We used to buy dessert and have it after all our meals, but now we are trying to cut back on a few things so we only tend to have it at weekends as that is the time when we are all here.I used to like chocolate crunch as well as it would be eaten by all of us as well as we used to have apple pie and custard.

It is very interesting to read about different preferences for dessert. And, some like having dessert, some do not give importance. A slice of cake is surely my favorite too.

I never have dessert after my meal, I am usually full by the time the meal is over. Plus, I just do not seem to have a sweet tooth at all.
I probably do not eat dessert more than two or three times a year at the very most, and even then, I would eat it as a snack and never after a meal. If I were to have a dessert it would be pineapple upside-down cake or homemade apple pie.

Yes, you are like my sister. She would enjoy the main meal so much, and after the meal she cannot take any thing more.

Hi greenline,
Though I do not enjoy personally I know dessert is good for digestive system as you take after meal. Of course I take it when it becomes sort of mandatory.

Hi greenline! I usually have some kind of fruit for my dessert when I eat at home. It's because I'm trying to watch my weight all the time. However, whenever I eat out, I just get whatever I want for dessert. It's then that I dont worry about my weight that much. I just get whatever the restaurant has to offer, whether it's ice cream, cake, pie, etc. I think a person can be toothin as well as too fat. I figure if I do it this way, I won't lose too much weight like I did one time several years ago. Kathy.

Hello Kathy. How are you ? You are very wise, indeed. Fruits are also very good as desserts, tasty, and also have health values in different ways, I understand. You are doing very well.
