Am I the only one who is getting tired of listening to music? It seems like whenever there is a quiet moment, whether walking, driving, running, going out, we have to listen to music. What happened to quiet time for thoughts and reflection, or conversation?

I've also transitioned to audio books, mainly while I drive. I feel like I'm being more productive sitting in traffic

Hi firo zahmed: I simply don't do anything. When i'm tired of music i work without music or simply sleep. This helps me and there's another point- i don't like to listen how another person read my books. It seems to me a little bit lazy. I mean i love to read and i don't want that someone do this for me.

Hello. Listening to music is an excellent way for relaxation. I listen to classical music every evening after I get back home from work. That's my favorite way for relaxation and getting rid of all the stresses of the day. I keep a collection CDs of classical music, Mozart, Chopin, Johan Strauss, Beethoven, Brahms, and more. I also liie listening to music of other cultures, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Indian.

I love listening to music and enjoy a wide range of music styles and genres. I'm glad that I am someone who even after the undergraduate college years can still enjoy new music. I say this because they have found that many people stop exploring and finding new music after a certain age and only listen to stuff from their own youth. I can't listen to my iPod all of the time and I prefer to be aware of my surroundings when in public rather than tuning out with the music. I will usually listen to it on the train or bus. Also it is seen rude by many of my relatives to have an iPod or music player turned on with headphones in their presence.

Hi kicks stand pete: it's normal that we sometimes can't stand music. It happends often when we have been disturbed by the sound of someone who's listen very loud his favourite music artists. The best solution it's to clean yourself, i mean, stop listen to music for a few hours and then you'll continue enjoying this pleasure

I can see your point about this. One thing that really annoys me is if I go out for a pub lunch with my husband or friends and there is music blasting out so that we can't hold a conversation. On occasions like this, we usually ask if the volume can be turned down.My husband once passed a comment about the music blasting out in a supermarket and was told by a member of staff that they couldn't do anything about it. Apparently, it was the company policy to play music, obviously regardless of the wishes of it's customers or staff! By the way, I love music but like to choose for myself what I listen to and when.

I love music and don't think there can be too much. I do think there is appropriate music for situations. I like good conversation and enjoy having nice sound in the back ground. Sometimes just a simple melody or a nice acoustic jam. I think there is music for all situations. I certainly have times when there is no music playing but it is not often.
