I agree with this..I've been using Avira AntiVir for almost three years and never had a problem with it..It doesn't use up too much RAM yet it is quite effective in dealing with viruses..I have tried several antivirus like McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky, Avast but I find Avira to be better than them.. I also use Smart Virus Remover as a supplementary antivirus..It's very light yet effective in dealing with autorun viruses and other few viruses as well..

Hi pantomime, you can download free trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security, trial will last for 30 days. It works exactly like the retail version, Just buy the retail version if it meets your requirements. It always works for me and I say It's the best that I ever tried.

Hello if you want a good free antivirus i would recommend you avast, which is the one im currently using. There are also other good free antivirus like avg, and avira(i think its call like that). If you are willing to pay for the antivirus then use kaspersky, or nod32.

I recommend you AVAST and AVIRA, if you like free version you can try there HOME EDITION. But if you money to pay for there Profesional edition much better. You know why i recommend this two, because i'm using it both at the same time.

I think trying to find a perfect antivirus to keep up with all dangerous applications and fending them of has really been a headache. Obviously all antivirus applications are not created equal, but a good antivirus should effectively and quickly seek out and identify virus threats and they should be able to clean and isolate infected files. This is where some names come onto the scene such as Bitdefender, Kaspersky AVG etc. All of them have trial versions and AVG and Bitdefender has free versions for home users. Personally I use the free version of AVG which is fast and effectively working in my PC. If you are willing to spend some money then you can buy the full versions also to have all the tools to fight those malicious programs, spywares, and other notable features in one compact application.

i would always decided on buying last years model for close measure if u dont rely on something thats been working ever since last productions u wont know exactly whats the brand to buy or whats the product has to offer on your system and whatnot. information is always given on the back of any product of any anti virus but the best advice would prob talk to a geek squad or a computer shop to see what there resource is all about u can find better answer from people who has had issue and close calls or even it happen and they know the right tools for your soft ware to use.im sure you wont be disappointed
