I agree with patofgold. Actually when we have too much to weigh, it is almost like system crashing, overload, lack of adequate RAM (random access memory) which clogs the thinking process. We need to think it all sequentially but there is simply no room to develop that sequence. When we sleep, we discard some of the inconsequential things that our eyes, and thru them our mind had subconsciously registered. This leaves more room for organizing the remaining things. That is the reason we feel calmer as well, and more capable of taking wiser decisions.

i think that makes a lot of sense...
it is better not to rush in making decisions, especially on the more imprtant ones...
sleeping on it...somehow makes you think better and weigh what's best///

I have had people tell me to sleep on it before making a decision, and I have also asked people if I could sleep on it before making a decision especially when it comes to making an important decision, and I think that sleeping on it helps because you should not rush into a decision, and when you sleep on it,it gives you the night to think about it and you might even have a dream that will tell you the answer you seek, especially those who believe in dream interpretation, and if nothing else after sleeping you are wide awake and full of energy,so you can make a decision without being tired or not being able to think clearly, and I have noticed that if I sleep on something before making a decision it helps me make a better decision, then if I just make a decision at the moment I am asked to make a decision.

I think its believed if we sleep our minds will be clearer and therefore we will make a better decision. but usually its a bad idea because some people, like myself, really cant sleep with to much on their mind anyway
