I live in Florida, in cowboy country, I if I'm wearing a hat it's either a cowboy hat or a ball cap. I have a variety of caps but only two cowboy hats.

Wide brim straw or reed hat in the summer and a knitted hat in the winter. I like white or beige in summer, but darker colors in winter.

I never wear a hat even if it's below zero here in Missouri. Hats always give me a headache. Guess because I am not use to wearing one. Don't think a knitted hat would bother me but my hair is so fine that it would stand up every direction when I took it off. Would be a scary thing! Am one of those who has to use hairspray and gel in order to keep my hair from moving as I walk.

If I wear a hat at all it will be in the winter, to keep my head warm. It will be one that fits closely, and can cover my ears.

I don't wear hats because I don't look good in them however, in the winter time, I have a scarf hat. It's a scarf knitted into a hat but with long wrap arounds so it can wrap around my neck. I have three of them, grey, off white and blue. Very warm and very comfortable. At that time of the year, I don't care what I look like, I'm more into keeping warm. lol

I usually just wear a warm knit hat in the wintertime. It keeps me warm and if I am lucky it matches the clothes that I am wearing or my coat. I think it is nice to be able to use your matching skills to match your hat to the clothes you are wearing. I usually dont wear hats in the summertime.
