No, it depends on what food I am eating, where I am eating and the situation 'm in. Sometimes, it takes me longer if I don't like the food but I have to eat but if it's my favorite, I can finish it in around 5 mins. I tend to eat longer when I'm home compared when I'm eating outside just like in the restaurant or in a friends house. Also I can I can finish my meal fast if I'm in a hurry for something.

No. i won't eat fast. I will chew the food thouroughly and then swallow. But sometimes, when I need to go out, that time I will eat fast.

I am definately the opposite. I am a slow eater. My husband on the other hand, is a very fast eater. He use to be a volunteer firefighter until he messed up his shoulder, so he is use to eating quickly and on the run. He finishes every single meal way before I do. Sometimes I feel bad for eating so slow, but I can't help it!

I know I should be more careful with the speed when I eat. However it’s a very difficult thing to change. I was a child I usually ate fast, now I tried to be a little slower, especially here in the UK people like talking when they have a meal. In my culture better not talk when you eat. So now I always tell me to slow down when I have meals with my husband and other friends. I also slow down when I’m alone to eat. I try to make my life speed down. So I don’t feel have pressure in my life.

The more you chew your foods, the more it is easier to digest. Not only that if you chew it more then the amount of saliva will be more moxed with foods, That is also very helpful for your body.
Though i am putting the advice, but reality is that i also eat very fast.
Thank you.

Yeah, I'm generally a fast eater, even when I am with friends and we chat as we eat, I almost always seem to be the first one to finish. Also at home, when we eat together, I'm always the first to finish. Or maybe it's because I eat less than all the others? LOL! I am not sure, but yeah, I consider myself a fast eater. I've read though that eating slowly is better and you have a lesser tendency to get fat because the body gets a better chance to fully absorb all nutrients.

I don't eat very fast. I know people who eat very slow and people who eat very fast. I have a colleague who eats very fast. She comes along with me to have lunch at my work place. She eats her whole lunch in three or four minutes and waits for me to finish my lunch. I think we should take time to enjoy each spoon of food and have it slow if we have enough time to spend.

She eats much faster than me. I take about 5 mins usually to finish off my lunch and about 5 to 10 mins for my dinner. I always tell myself to enjoy my food slowly and when I have my first bite, I forgot about it totally. I think I need to write on a piece of paper to remind me.

I sometimes do. Especially at work where I need to be in a hurry all the time. I know it's bad because you're not giving your intestine time to digest all the food you consume properly. But i have to..

I don't like to eat alone. Eating with a crowd encourages chit chat and chit chat makes you eat slower. I try to finish my food in no less than 30mins.

Yes, plenty of times. I keep trying to get myself to slow down as well because I would like to enjoy my meals but sometimes I just eat it faster than I'd like. I barely even get to savour the taste of the food until I swallow it =/
