DO you have a favorite board game you like to play? I like to play Monopoly with my hubby. Otherwise I a game that's not really a board game that I love also is Jenga! But I lost most of the pieces and whatever is left are part of the girls blocks! *LOL*

My husband feels the same way as you do about Chess. If I have a cheat sheet as to what all the pieces are allowed to do then I'm ok. I've never played it enough to memorize them.

I like monopoly too. But, my favorite board game is Chess. Not that I am good at that ! I lose most of the time ! Ha ha ! But, any way, I very much like and enjoy playing chess. I have also joined the chess club in our community here and play fairly regulaly. We have tornaments too. Very exciting. I don't win every time though, but I did win a few times ! LOL !

Sounds neat to join a chess club! That's ok if you are not the best at it as long as you enjoy yourself and get a lil social interaction out of it why not?

I don't know if they still make and sell it, but I love to play The TVGuide game. I got it for my sister many years ago for Christmas. It's really fun. I also enjoy Trivial Pursuit, but it is harder to get people to play that with me. When I was a child my absolute favorite board game was CandyLand.

I haven't heard of Boggle in a long time. I think the last time I've heard of it was when it was on an Episode of King of the Hill. Anything that makes you laugh is definatly is a good thing

I'd like to do a game night as well. We used to have one when it was just hubby & I but along came kids. I wish we didn't have to wait til they were older as they don't respect things as they should and you can't imagine how many games we've bought only to find them scattered in pieces all over the house and half missing. *sigh* it's just wasted money by then

I never had anyone to play with when I was a kid either other than a neighbor kid once in a while. My Mom was a stickler to by the rules exactly to the "T" and really you can have a good time playing it w/o the game being played exactly by the rules. Though my hubby feels the same way about chess cause I don't play it and he won't allow me a cheat sheet so..... he's out of luck playing by himself.

My all-time favortie game is Monopoly. I also like Scrabble. I think that War is pretty fun, too except that it takes longer to play than Monopoly. I basically like any game that makes me use my mind.

I agree. Monopoly and Jenga are the greatest board games. Monopoly for those long rainy days, so you can actually finish the game. Jenga for those "I'm-bored-but-I-have-some-where-to-be-soon" days.
