You Named Him What? (Me and Obediah Chase)

My love for history earned me my nickname a long time ago from my friends. So,one day I happened to find a little lost fluffy black kitten in an old cemetary nearby. He was cold, wet, shivering and frightened; huddled against the stone of a local hero of the Revolution named Obediah Chase. And thus was he Baptized. People called it strange. "That's no name for a cat!". Me and Obediah Chase are our own individuals. We like ourselves and that's that! What is your pet's name? How did you arrive at it? And is it unusual or, as Shakespeare said, "base, common and popular?"
