Sometimes i worked over time than my normal working hours. But my boss is not willing to give me chance for having over time work, i think that's all is just about paying more salary to me which my boss won't do it. Never mind. But i think i'm a workaholic person. Although my boss won't pay my over time rights, i always working over time as long as there's jobs for me to do. How about you? Are you a workaholic person? Do yo working for money only or for expanding your future? Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

I agree with your statement. We need to love our job for being a workaholic person. I think and i believe that is the only make sense reason for being a workaholic. Why did you give up before you give it a try? You even haven't try to reach your dream, so how could you say if your dream is impossible? Show to the world if you can reach your dream and your goals. Who knows if eventhough you can't be a footballer but someday you can own a football team? I am like you only. I would not say that I am a workaholic person, but if there is any pending work, I will finish it and go home, irrespective of the time and the pay my boss pays me or not.

Hello vathsala30. It's true. Having any pending work is not a good feeling and mostly it makes me can not sleep on the night because thinking about that work. So i think we'd better finishing any work without having to let it to be a pending work. Actually that's for our own good and we can preparing our soul and mind also power for doing new work for the next task. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

..well, for me, I'm that kind of person.. i do my work even if I have to make an overtime without pay because I love my work.. It doesn't matter if I'm paid, recognized or not.. I just do what i love to do..

Nice to know if there's a lot people with a same mindset with me. It's true that sometimes we can actually earn more profit from working hard, such as on over time, the profit is like more experiences on our jobs. If there is one weakness which my boss could identify about my workbehavior is my being workaholic. I dont mind working overtime or even beyond the time required of me to work because i love my job so much. I get a lot of satisfaction after working and finishing my tasks so i dont mind working even without pay. Although being workaholic has also its disadvantages i could no longer curb the habit. Its a good thing being a widow because no one would ever question the overtime or the late coming to house. For me being able to serve my students, clients, co-employees and even other people gives me a sense of fulfillment, so despite the fact that all my officemates have gone home, i am happy staying in my office doing the extra works. Extra work for me is love for my profession so no worry.
