The title says it all. I am an addict for sales. Especially in stores where I usually buy clothes from. It just occurred to me when I bought a pair of really adorable wedges just before graduation. The price was originally tagged at 1,300 pesos (Philippines' money) but it went down to 400 pesos! I couldn't believe my eyes as they were really really really nice! I bought the shoes right there and then! It was a blessing as I was having a hard time looking for cute silver wedges for my silver graduation dress. And I was able to save money!
How about you? What are your experiences during sales?

I love to shop to when there are sales going on. It saves me money at times from spending full price on things that I or my family need. And with Christmas coming up it helps when there are sales going on. So I can get everyone a gift for Christmas or there birthdays.

I know how that feels. I am far from done shopping. I still have lots to do. I have lots of family members to buy for. And my grand babies get lots from me for Christmas. I try to spoil my grand babies as much as I can. I have 2 grand babies to buy for and 3 daughters. And lots of family.

Oh gosh, my 1st month's salary is slowly getting used up already for the presents! I still have around 1 1/2 months to buy other things

I'm a little tight on the budget now as I'm living on my own salary now. Hahaha.. Very much different compared to when I was still in school! I still have my nephew, 2 siblings, 2 in-laws and 5 cousins to buy presents for

I haven't encountered using coupons yet, but my sister says it's good to have coupons during tough times I might use them in the future as coupons are not a big thing here in my country!
Thanks for replying!

am one of those few who would tell you that shopping on sale is looking for a headache. too many people, too many leftover items with only a decent find to get. no, it's not for me .

As much as possible, I try to arrive at the venue as early as I can! I see yours wasn't really a good experience. Too bad. Thanks for responding!

nu-huh. I don't go to malls if they're on sale. Prices are good and really tempting but I hate it when bunch of people buying or looking some stuff to buy. I don't like waiting too long just to pay for the stuff that i picked. I get dizzy when the place is too crowded. Finding spot to eat is hard also.

Really? You're the first person I've met that doesn't like sales
I think for you to be able to stand sales is to be really patient. And growing in a family that likes to go on sales, I guess I pretty much inherited the patience my parents and siblings have

well, yes. My patient is short and my parents also don't like sales, they rather go to ordinary days. Maybe when the time comes that i have my own family I'll become more practical just like my sisters.

Me too! I love it when stores have sales! It also seems like no matter where you go there are always sales somewhere! It is amazing. Especially when you have been saving up something certain and you have patience and wait. The day comes when lo and behold! It's on sale! It totally pays off:)

Hi Baby_Becca!
Welcome to myLot! It's true, it really makes you ecstatic when you try to save money. It may take a bit longer than when you buy it right away, but after everything, it's all worth it
Thanks for responding! Hope to see you around more. Happy myLotting!

I enjoy it when something I was already planning on getting is on sale, but otherwise I don't really pay attention to when sales happen - I try to avoid shopping while we are trying to pay off debt, or I will spend all of our money on things we don't actually need.

I try to avoid sales when I still have to pay off a debt. But sometimes, when the sales are really good, I try window shopping instead. Good for the pocket, but hard for the heart. Hahahahha

I love shopping during sales. Just be patient and you'll be able to find great items sometimes half the original price. It is one way of saving money. In times of crisis, we have to be practical.

yeah i do. yesterday i saw a pair of pants. original price is 1 thousand pesos and the new price is 500. but 500 pesos is quite big price for me still haha. so that was why i didn't buy it. i buy pants that cut down their price from 500 pesos down to 350 or bit lower.

Wow, you are really a bargain hunter! I still weigh the pros and cons during sales though It doesn't mean if a thing is in sale I buy it immediately, I still think if its worth buying

Usually, there're sales season in some period. When in festival, there are many sales promotions and you can particapte in the lucky draw. And in big stores, sometimes there are outlets commodities. You can buy a brand commodity at a very reasonable price. I once bought a pair of shoes for about 370RMB while its original price is over 900 RMB.

That's really a good buy! In grocery stores, my mom likes to pick out packages with freebies in it. It costs cheaper when sold individually, so she tries to get as much as she could (and as much as she needs).

Yup, I like to shop and even like to wait every sales to purchase the item which i adore with a price lower than 70 to 50% which are of great quality. I admire famous brand especially the lines of new clothing apparels, shoes, make up and i also time to purchase furniture and computer paraphernalia. During sales they sell the once expensive item at a half price which is very great treasures to bring at home. It is really a joy and it saves a lot then whatever left is spend on the other items or just save for a rainy days.

Hmmm.. here in our place, they usually don't put on sale any new items that they may have. They usually do so at a time when newer stuff arrive Thanks for responding!

I love to shop during sale! A lot of the time sales provide the best bargains. The shopping atmosphere can appear to be more friendly too. Christmas shopping can be a different story though. The pressure is often for purchasing gifts and sometimes it can try our patience. other than that shopping is great fun!

Christmas shopping is definitely one of the most aggravating shopping sprees ever. That's why as much as possible, I try to buy gifts as early as I can! Hahaha...
I already found 3 gifts for my parents and my sister. I only have to buy 3 more: for my other sister, my brother, and myself!

I love sales!! And especially sales on shoes, they are always so expensive and really if their full price is low, then the quality is low too. Same to say about bags. So I just wait for sales to get all the fancy shoes I like. And the same for pants, I never seem to find jeans cheap enough, they're so expensive! So I wait for sales to get them and save on money.
The only thing I don't ever seem to buy on sale are shirts and tops, I seem to have difficult preferences for those!

I looove shoes! But it's kind of hard to choose a pair in my size as my feet are small (I'm a size 6, but in Converse, 4 1/2 - 5 ).

Me too! They are the best times to shop for lots of goods within your budget. And if you have the time and the patience, you can really go thru all the stuff and pick and choose the best ones. Only this is that you have to jostle with the crowd for a place at the aisle and the items are kept back on the racks in a very reckless manner, which spoils their arrangement.
Every year during festive times when there’s big sale going on, I go and buy clothes for the entire family.

I really agree with you! I try to arrive at the shop as early as I can so that I can choose the best stuff! There are some items that tend to be overlooked by some shoppers, and I take extra care to look for really good stuff

Yes, most people will tend to go shopping during sales.
When meeting a sales season, most people will grasp such an opportunity to buy as many as goods. You see, during sales, people have more options to choose and find the goods with optimization of the comprehensive cost-effective ratio. At the same time, they can get all what they want with little costs, which is helpful to save some money obviously.
It is really a wiser choice to go shopping during sales, especially for people who don't have much money.

I really don't mind the hustle and bustle during sales, because naturally, many people like going to sales too. I honestly think that sales are contests for the ones who could purchase the most "bargain"-worthy stuff.

Shopping when sales are going on is the best time. Who would want to pay full price for anything now! The price that your paying isn't the price you should be paying so when they are on sale I jump on it. I won't do it if its only 10-15% off but I def. consider it more when they are more on sale.
@aixshaonline (600)

10-15% is good. But when I see big banners that shout "20-70%" off, I'd definitely go in the shop. Hahahaha.
But there are some stores that are really wise. They would usually mark up some of the stuff before putting them on sale. They'll say they have 30% off on all items, but actually, you'll only be getting a small discount instead of the whole 30%.

I love shopping, even more so during the sales! You can grab some real bargains. I tend to wait for the sales and really stock up on new clothes. I don't like the disorganised way clothes and things are strewn everywhere at sales times, but the reduced price makes it worth rummaging round!

The only thing that annoys me when I'm going through the clothes is the dust. I am allergic to dust and I'd have fits of sneezing just by going through the clothes. But still, it's worth it if I can spot a lot of good clothes or other stuff!

I can so relate with you! I once had a shirt that I really liked and bought it on the spot. But a few days later, the shop had a sale. I was really thrilled and went into the shop I got dismayed when I saw the shirt was also on sale. I should have waited a little longer before I actually bought the shirt, I could have saved money.
