Recently I got a really bad headache all of a sudden. I used to get really bad headaches a lot, but here recently in the last year or so I haven't gotten that many. I took some Tylenol, took a bath and then slept for a while. When I woke up my headache was all gone. It depends on how bad my headache is hurting as to what I will do. I usually take some type of pain reliever and try not to watch tv or get on the computer, and take a bath. I will only lay down or go to sleep if it hurts really bad. If I haven't ate anything in the last little bit then I will try to eat something.
I have to be careful because I get migraines and thankfully I don't get that many anymore. A lot of the time if I have a headache and it keeps hurting it will turn into a migraine. I usually don't get a migraine right away.
So what do you do when you get a headache?

how to get rid of your headache once in for all is to actually treat it is as a migraine. Just before the Aura of headache, towel your head with warm towel and then a cold towel and then warm. What is actually happening in a headache is the blood vessels are not working in tune, constriction are not in rhythm, so alternating hot and cold towel will remedy this rhythm. Cold towel with constrict and hot water will promote circulation, i guarantee you that headache to stop. There is also the Sunrise and Sunset headache, if you are experiencing this type of headache, you need to see your eyes checked, you may be required to wear eye glasses

sorry i am not very good in my english, but it is, hot first then cold, hot cold hot cold. from head to shoulder, you can try it now and you will feel your blood flowing nicely. I am sure it will work, I had a migraine for 8 years and that is what got me cured, although i am not totally cured, i still experience severe migraine attacks 2-3 times a year. And i remember this all started with just ordinary headache and eye astigmatism.

As much as possible I don't want to take pain reliever or some kind of medicines. What I do is to lie in bed, relax, or take some sleep. When I woke up, headaches are gone. Also, I massage my eyes because this is the common reason why I get some headaches.

tylenol does nothing for me if i get a headache so i always take ibuprofen. most of the time that will do the trick. if it is an especially bad headache i will take aleve instead and then a cup of coffee on top of that. i do not get headaches often but when i do they usually are enough that i have to take something for it because it will not go away on its own.

Laying down usually make it worse for me, so here are my ideas: lay but with your head/back up, rest in a dark room, get a hot shower/bath, get a hot tea of your choice, get ibuprofen if it works for you, get an aspirin if you aren't allergic, book a massage, get a few hours off work...these are my ideas. For me usually one or two work.

I don't get migraines which is great but have two daughters who do and they take a daily prescription to prevent them from being awful. I take 2 Advils and lay down if the headache is bad enough. If it's tolerable, I don't have to go lay down but do get off the computer. Resting my eyes helps so much.

I will first of all determine what is it that caused my headache. If it is stress related headache or just by thinking too much, I will just relax my mind for a while, normally the headache is gone. It is brought by colds and other sicknesses, I will take analgesic and other pain killers. But as much as possible, I don't want to rely on pain killers too much. I know they are not good for the health and there are long time effects.

When I have a headache, I used to just sleep on it but with all the problems and stress bugging my mind these past few months sleeping on it is not an option. I have a cup of coffee instead and take my eyes off of the computer or TV for a few minutes and then I'm off to online "work" again.

When I get headaches, I usually lay down and let it pass. If it is really bad, I take a herb called feverfew. I never, ever take Tylenol or anything like that.

Headache is indeed a very common malaise...And it seems different people have different effective ways to cope with it.As for me,rejecting medicament,I give my tempers a hard push, which sometimes very effective,or go out for a walk and some fresh air.Usually those measure can release my headache. If they doesn't work,I'll have a show hot, drink some milk and have a sleep, and I'll always feel better when I get up.Hope my means will helpful to you!

All I do is take a couple of Panadol and if it is just an ordinary headache it will disappear eventually unless it is a migraine or caused by some other condition. Migraines are the worst! I know someone who gets one every second week or so and is so very sick with them; he’s had scans and tests and they all appear normal but he is still in pain. I haven’t had one for a few years and that is how I hope it stays!

I get headaches a lot. I believe it usually happens when it's quite bright out. So, it's especially bad during the summer; sometimes I'll have it for a few days in a row. I take some ibuprofen (this is the generally what Tylenol or Advil is, but my Mom only buys generic since it's cheaper...) and I wear some dark sunglasses throughout the day. I've tried sleeping it off before; but I find that if it's not like 8-10 hours of sleep (like if I just took a nap), then it doesn't work. Most of the time, I'll just try to keep myself busy, so that I'll just forget about my headache. It actually works sometimes. But then, I'd remember I had a headache and a little bit of it comes back.

What works for me if I have a headache, is rest. I drink lots of water then I rest. If it is not working, I lie down and sleep. If I still have the headache when I wake up, that is the time I take pain reliever. I also make sure my blood pressure is not raised by having my children check on it.

I currently have a head ache and its almost normal for me. Try excercisig. Don't do anything that takes effort to prepare for. just jog in place, do jmping jacks or run up and down the stairs a few times. this will get your blood flow moving. Also try drinking water. Sometimes that also really helps. I don't know if this is for me only but, i gt headaches often because im bored. Now that may sound a little weird but try doing something fun or watch some T.V. Doing those usaully clears my head ut if it comes to th wort, i take a pill.
