What are the levels? Does it increase earnings?

I'm new to myLot. I have seen that some of the members seems to have a star and level shown below their avatar. What are these? How can I level up? Does it has something to do with the earnings?

yup! those star besides members avatar is ratings and they change color to, i think, if my memory serves me well, you can start having stars on your avatar if you reach the rating of 100 (discussion/responses), so keep pouring in your discussions and responses..happy mylotting!!!

Ratings? I guess those are the + given to our responses by others. I'm I right?
