does having a profile pic increase the number of responses?

Well you don't really need a pic but an avatar of some sort does brand you and this is important for people to relate to you! At least I think so, it's like a marketing tool but this is what you are doing here is marketing your self! Why don't you do one? It's not a big deal! In answer yes, I think it would as long as you give good thoughtful posts! tdemex

No it do not increase the number of responses that you get if you do or do not have a profile picture,

i think it does... It's much better to see a picture rather than the default white guy silhouette avatar. =) If you want to add a picture i actually made a discussion about how to do it because i noticed there are still people in mylot who doesn't have any profile picture.

A interesting discussion always attract more responses. But I think it is the profile pic that can make your User ID more attractive and more visible. As far as I am concerned I get attracted towards profile pic also. But picture should be such innovative that attract the attention. And I get attract towards the profile pic of a member I do read the discussion.

Interesting discussions win many responses n i dont think there is any rhing to du with profile pic....

Some people do find it appealing if you have a good pic with you.But i think what we really need to see is if the person is worth talking to. Some people are not even worth your time what more with just pics. Profile pics are just an addition nothing more than that ;)
