CVS or Rite Aid

Do you shop at either CVS or Rite Aid? If so, why do you shop at the one you do? I use to be a CVS shopper. I loved their extra care bucks promotions and I was often able to get a lot of great items cheap or free! But now I've discovered Rite Aid and their rebate check program. They're both really great stores so now I tend to shop at both - for the best deals! Do you take advantage of CVS and their extra care bucks or Rite Aid and their rebate checks?

CVS only gives the extra care bucks that can only be used in the store. In reality your not getting anything for free, just purchasing more product at CVS. RiteAid actually sends you rebate checks that you take to your bank and cash or deposit, whatever you choose. This to me is better. I can actually say I am getting something free. Like last month I seen they have different cold medicines on sale, but on top of the sale price they offered a rebate, once submitting the rebate the purchase price if fully refunded....you just got a free item(s)...how cool is that! Who doesn't need to pinch pennies in today's environment? I love to brag about the free goods I get at RiteAid, and it is legitimate too. I have always received my rebate checks. It's not getting something for nothing, don't get me wrong. You must enter information from your receipts online to claim your rebates, but it only takes a matter of a few minutes, like 5 minutes maximum, if that. Hey, 5 minutes is worth getting $50.00 of free goods, sometimes more, sometimes less.

I like Rite Aid better because I think they have a lot of good items on sale. CVS always seem to have a lot of high prices to me. I actually like Walgreens better than both of them. I can get a lot of great free rebates on cosmetics with them.

Hi there Jennlk84. I love your avatar by the way! I do shop at CVS. We don't have a Rite Aid around here, I wished we did. Whenever I go back down home I am always finding good deals in there. I usually shop at CVS at the last minute. They are my quick get in and get out, plus not too far from where I am staying store.

We have both pharmacies in our town but I have never been to Rite Aid in all the years that is has been here, I do however shop at CVS at least twice a month. I do my prescription shopping through CVS just because their medicines are a lot cheaper for me that a few other places in town. I get my medicines refilled every two weeks and i will also do a bit of shopping there if I am in there and need something at the time. I like to do my card shopping at CVS just because I think they have a nice variety.
