Maybe you were sad ,or you could have been really happy or miserable ,whatever the emotion maybe and BAM !,out of the blue you hear this song and it just speaks to hwo you felt at that moment.Wow you may think someone sent in a request just for your someone has been reading your hear cause it might just be waht you need to get you out of a bind or keep you on the high you were on ,but wow what perfect timing. Could you share when you had one of these moments and what was the mood you were in and how did it make you feel after that?

I have spoken about this incident before. I remember sitting in a café waiting to meet my friend feeling devastated because I had broken up with my boyfriend the night before and as I am sitting there feeling terrible, Sinead O'Connor's “Nothing compares to you” came on and I sat there and cried and cried in my cappuccino for over an hour!

Yes, it did help because I cried on my friend's shoulder and by the time we left the cafe` I felt better although I'm sure my poor friend felt completely drained! Thanks for the BR, I appreciate it!

Yes, many of the reggae songs are that way for me. Thats why i lov reggae so much. When im down and need a pick up Bob Marley's "Possitive Vibrations" usually does it for me.

Not really, I arrely pay attention to a song's lyrics but when I listen to the music it sure has some effect on me. Could be a balad, hard rock, hip hop, rap, classical, jazz, tango, latin, pop, you name it, it has to have something to hit the spot in any particular moment.

Ok lol well it doesnt have to be the lyrics ,I mean the general composition,it could be the beat or even the sound of the singers voice.Thank you though for answering

Ive had several moments were Ive felt like that. One time I remember I was really depressed.. and a song by Blind Guardian called Black Chamber, lyrics are very sad.. felt in that same manner. When I was happy at one time, I remember hearing a semi charmed kind of life. No idea how that was the same, maybe just the feeling of the song. When I felt tuff at a given situation. I remember hearing "welcome to jamrock" by Damian Marley. And when I was angry when I had an accident I heard "Break Stuff" from Limp Bizkit.

This has happened to me many times. It always makes me feel better because it makes me feel that someone knows exactlly how I feel.

I usually remember a situation that happened to me through a song. I do not know if it's a coincidence. Music is one of my best friends. It calms me, it also rejuvenates me when I feel down (of course, it has to be an upbeat song!), it is ready to give you advise.

I have had this happen to me many times. I usually do not listen to many songs or the radio for that matter. I have listened to it sometimes though and it has songs playing on it that expresses how I was feeling at the time.

yes.. The song BELIEVE BY CHER completely described my situation when i was getting over my ex..It took me 6months of non-stop listening of the song and it helped me... I would put the song the moment i was alone anywhere to refrain myself from thinking anthing about the breakup and it helped..!! It prevented me from having bitter feelings and negative thoughts..!! I love somantic movies and songs...the rest of ths songs mostly describe my feelings, which i never share or talk about...

Yes, I do have some very favourite music for this. I love Karen Carpenter and thought that her voice was very beautiful. A lot of her words in her songs tend to resonate with me and I get a little sad when I listen to her. Everyone needs to experience a little sorrow from time to time but not to wallow in it on a regular basis obviously. I listen to Karen Carpenter when I am feeling low but then when I pick myself up I put more positive music on. Andrew

From time to time moments like what you describe come. I was driving to work and my radio was on a love song came on and it gave me a fresh feeling of love and gratefulness for my husband. I even started to plan my next anniversary. I was not feeling sad or so,but the song gave a lift and an appreciation of life.

hi ronnyb well there have been moments when i felt so down and out, i have listened to religious gospel songs on youtube at such times and i felt such a relief, it really lets lots of things out of you, it is something which i can't really explain, after listening to some gospel songs i sit and pray and feel so much better already, songs really do affect us in a lot many ways, there are some good songs and some bad ones too... i am not really a very religious person myself but i have to keep my faith... gospel songs have had the most wonderful effect on me and so i would not want to miss an opportunity to say this... anyways, have a nice day ronnyb.

Absolutely, in fact i only listen to songs which has some connection with my life at some point, like right now i'm listening a song from Eugene Wilde & Joanna Wilder - First love never die, because i'm kind of reminiscing my first love back in high school, listening a son which reflected a part of our life makes the song even more meaningful.

There was a time when I was sitting in a small bar with a jukebox, and I had just gotten into a terrible argument with an ex-girlfriend and a song came on called "Since I been Loving You", i sat there and listened to the lyrics and felt like I connected with the song as soon as i heard it. Now, I relate to the song every time a bad situation with a loved one arises.

Back in the summer I thought I was in love .I was waiting to hear from him when my best friend sent me his own music and Bam! There was a song expressing Exactly how I felt ,what I was going through. And then there was another that expressed what I went through when I ended it.Do you now the song Killing Me Softly?Well I felt like that. Somehow he wrote these songs just for me.In reality he had written them years before we met! When I listened to the radio in my teens, songs that I really needed to hear would play.I did feel like my angel or my late dad was sending them down for me.

Music has always played a big part in my life. I guess more times than not music can make me sad by bringing up memories of people that were once in my life but i try not to dwell on that part of it.of course u know it started w/you know who.

oh yes! I'd be on the back of a touring motorcycle and the cd would play a song that would hit me hard because the song was singing how I knew he felt at that moment,"You were born to be my baby, and I was born to be your man." I'd take my hand and touch my husband's neck and massage him a little letting him know the song touched me and he'd reach down and touch my leg letting me know he felt the same way. We have some very good rides this way. The songs are usually songs about loving one another and after being married for 36 years we have had a lot of fun together on our motorcycle and are still crazy for each other letting each other know how deeply we feel. Music played a big party in our marriage for enjoy rock 'n'roll classics and some of those songs from the 70's & 80's are powerful stuff that hit you smack dab in the heart and cause you to react. In a very positive way!
