Well, even if you will be using hot water it is still cold when you go out from the shower. Sometimes I can't take it. I don't like the cold hehehe... Of course in the tropics some people take shower 2-3 times a day because it's hot but what about in places where it is too cold? do you take showers daily? Just wondering.

it gets super cold over here and i find that it is better to shower as it is quicker and you are in and out of the bathroom that much quicker.

well, quick hot shower will do and just bring your thick fleece bath rob inside the shower so that right after the shower you can wrap yourself with warm clothing.

Hi mama bear: i think i'm a disaster when i have to decide to take a shower and it's cold. I wait in front of the shower preparing myself to open the water. Lol. XD. It takes me some minutes before i really start to take a shower but as you mention it's better in those cases to finish quickly your shower. I feel like a kid when i have to do this.

hello. I live in the tropics and it is really cold here. But we have a summer capital which is Baguio. It is cold there and I stayed there for almost five years. It is cold and I experienced one time rain made of ice particles. Even at cold times in that place, I still prefer to take a bath at least once a day. It is part of hygiene and it boosts my confidence. Imagine you go to a place and meet or mingle with people without brushing your teeth. That's disgusting or shameful when someone would cover his or her nose because of the foul breath. Its just the same when you don't take a bath everyday and you will be next to a person at a train or bus or in an elevator. So, i'd prefer taking a bath even when it is cold. The place does not matter whether it is in Iceland or in the Equator. Good day.

hahaha!! and taking a bath is different from brushing teeth. Well, I understand about people in the 'tropics.. it is hot there I know that.. in the Philippines? oh!! extremely hot and dusty. You feel greasy and uncomfortable when you can not take shower everyday specially at night time but in US or any other cold place, you don't feel greasy or hot. You feel clean even if you are not taking bath daily much more if you are just staying home? you feel fresh and pretty. hehehehe no dust and heat.

I have a tendency to take a shower every day because my hair won't lay right if I don't. I really don't think that I get that dirty sitting here typing away on my computer all day. LOL But, when I wake up in the morning, my hair has just gone everywhere. And even if I try to just wet it down, it still doesn't lay right. Of course, there are days, when I will try to brush it out, and throw on a hat. That is especially if I am doing some work outdoors where I am going to get dirty and have to take a bath later anyways. LOL

I do tend to take a bath when it is hot or cold every day,but i will now only stay in the bath for less than an hour as i find i get cold as soon as i get out of the bath and it takes ages to get warm again.

Oh? less than an hour? that is still too much for me. I can take shower like 5 minutes specially when it is very cold. Even if I use warm water, I don;t want to stay longer in the bathroom when the temperature is freezing

I was ever in some place cold where winter was almost over and because I used to bathe every day like twice or three times per day in my country, so, I did not miss to take shower daily even when it was freezing cold! Brrr... Actually, I have tried not to and maybe if I stayed a bit longer like two months I think I could adapt to the climate and probably skip shower whenever it was getting very cold.

hahaha that is what I figured out when you are in a very cold place like freezing all the time. How about when the temperature is 30 below zero? can you afford to take a bath? grrrr!! I'd rather sleep under a thick comforter hahahaha....

It gets cold here, but that kind of makes hot showers nicer, actually. Then again, the heat from the shower usually warms up the room as well.

Not every day but just about every day. If I am not going any where and I am not going to see anybody besides my husband and kids. But that only happens maybe once a week. Sometimes it is nice to just take a break and give my hair a break from all the shampoo and everything else. It also saves water that one day of the week.

hahaha that's a good idea too saving water. Anyway, if you are just at home and not expose to dust, dirt and heat of the sun? it doesn't matter. You are still clean. Just wipe with clean face towel and put lotion on your body... you are fine..

Taking a bath is very necessary daily in a tropical country because you feel dirty when you don't. It is because of the sweating during the day, due to the heat of the sun and also very dusty therefore very reasonable to take a bath.

Well not eveyday because sometimes I get lazy. I do dread after I turn off the water in the shower because then it is so cold with out the hot water and you have to dry yourself off while freezing the whole time.

hahah I agree with that. I can't stand in the cold water also. Good if we are in the tropics? cold water is needed specially at noon? but in a freezing country? I don't like it.

Hi Bebs: i know what you mean. I lived in a very warm town but those days it's always storming. I don't like the cold, at least when i have to take shower. Lol. XD. I can tell you that in these cases i used to think more than two times specially when i just wake up, it's very cold and i know i have to take shower before going to my job. Oh my god, why do i have to take a shower i said and sometimes i wait until night to take shower. It's not that bad, actually if there's only a day. Lol. XD

Hi Bebs! I know what you mean when going out from the shower, and then after that you gonna need to put lotion, lol! It's hard specially if you not use to cold weather, like me, but I still take shower/bath everyday during winter because after the shower and put all your clothes on, it's feels good also.

Right!! I am not used to the cold.. but when I was yet in a hot country, I always do that because you feel dirty and greasy when you can't take a bath daily.

Hi Bebs, I too am one of those who likes to take a shower at least twice a day . But her in Mangalore where I live the weather is warm all through the year except during monsoon. Taking to showers a day has become a habit with me irrespective of the weather - all the best and happy mylotting

Oh yes, I know that India and Philippines have similar weather. I understand that many people are taking bath twice a day because of of hotness and dust. They all fell like they are dirty when they can't take a bath daily.

At present, its not very cold here. But, around the end of December, it becomes pretty chilly, around 7-10 degrees. But, it does not matter to me whether its cold or warm, i have to wash me up daily. Actually, if i don`t bathe even a single day, it feels like something is missing, and that is the freshness and energy to work quickly. Also, cold is never a matter of concern for me, i don`t use any hot water. I bathe around 4:30 am in the morning with chilled water that is stored in the water tank (it has the same temperature as the surroundings). That makes me feel extremely good, keep my mind cool and keeping my body at the same temperature as the surroundings (thus protecting me from any type of cold-born diseases). I advise to try it some time, although its shivering while showering but it is great feeling after that. Happy Mylotting!!

I think it's very important that we still take a daily shower even when it's cold. We may get undressed and dressed a littler quicker after a shower in the fall and winter months, but our clean bodies will be invigorated and rejuvenated to take on the day.

Well it depends upon the adaptation of our body to the cold. For people who come from a hot country and used to take shower everyday, am not sure if they will be used to do that in a temperature below zero degrees.. hahaha
