I'm considering Acer cause so far I heard many recommendations. Plus, it is affordable and you could get one with 320 hard disk volume and 3G ram memory at around 40,000 pesos. 1 dollar is 40 pesos just convert it lol :) But if I could have any laptop I like I would want Sony Vaio but it's latest version of theirs would be around 130,000 pesos here at the Philippines and those around 40 thousand have low specifications. Any suggestions?

Yes so far my HP Pavilion dv 7 works perfectly with no problem even though I'm a power user. I'd recommend HP laptops to everyone :)

Hi ressssaaa, Acer is the practical choice, I think it's one of the cheapest available out there considering it's high specs, It's wise choice and acer is not that bad either, I have some friends who has acer laptops and netbooks and I never heard them complaining yet. But just incase, you might also consider gateway and compaq if you're really on a budget. Or maybe you might consider adding some more and just go for the macbook white, that's just a little over 50T pesos (999USD online). It might cost you a little more but you will never regret it, I guarantee you.

Based on the knowledge I have, local brands are a lot better. Considering the performance and the price. I say you could get the most of your money by buying an MSI or a NEO laptop. One thing that's best with this laptops is that, whenever you get in trouble with it, lots of service centers are widely available here in the Philippines.
