I normally go to the grocery store once a week. I try to get it all done at one time because it can be such a hassle to go more often.

Ideally I would probably go twice a week but that is not really convenient. I go as often as I need to for the most part.

I buy groceries at least once a week. Somehow, I am always either missing or forgetting or running out of something, so I make additional trips. I wish I could be so perfectly organized that I could get it right in one fell swoop. I also go to different markets for their loss leaders. I know I overbuy as well.

I live alone so I can get away only with going grocery shopping once a week or less. If I go every week, I can get by without having to spend a whole lot. Sometimes I go two weeks and then have to fill the cart up a little more to stock up on all the stuff I'm out of so I try not to wait that long. I try and make sure I eat before I go too, because I find myself buying more junk food when I go shopping for groceries when I'm hungry. That old adage is true, at least in my case. I also try to plan my meals and shopping so I make sure and use up anything that will spoil, like produce. I hate to waste food. Maybe that's ingrained in me from growing up on the farm. I might have to go a little more often over the next couple of weeks. Got company coming!

Every Friday, I take my mom grocery shopping and we both shop for the entire week. I try to keep in my budget of $100 per week. There is just my husband and myself in the house, but I also pick up a few treats for my grandson when I shop too.

I go grocery shopping at least once a week. I think too that it is cheaper that way. Because if you keep going more than once a week, like you have said, you will buy things that you really don't need and you just bought it because it was there. So when I do buy my groceries. I buy everything that I will need for that whole week. Another reason that I go grocery shopping once a week, I hate grocery shopping. Alot of people find that weird, but seriously I do. So I try to go as less as possible. lol

hello paleo, it depends on what i buy there everyday. sometimes i would buy some groceries, most of the time i bought plastics for the trash, packaging and for my ice selling business. but sometimes too my mom would actually asked me to buy recipes for her dishes and other foods. i did spent on stupid things like hamburgers and cheese, i never do that again. ever

I do the budget for us in the house, and per my schedule, grocery shopping should be once a week. But, I sometimes cheat and extend it to 8 days. So if I did shop on a Saturday, I try to make it to Sunday before going again. I don't know if this scheme really works, and I don't really see any concrete savings, but hopefully I save a little of the gas going and coming to the store.

I go once a week and it is on Saturday. My husband and I go together. I make a list of the things we need to buy and stick to that list. I never buy anything extra. I use coupons whenever possible and I make out a menu for the week. I have been really good about sticking to it.

I do a large food shop once every 2 weeks. I will buy my meats, dry foods etc most of which will be frozen. Each village here has its own fruit and veg stall with produce grown from the local villagers (all organic and very tasty) so I usually go to the veg store once a week for my fresh stuff. There is a also a local bakery which makes the best loaves I have ever tasted, they bake 8 times a day so its soo fresh - just delicious! I will go to the bakery once a week too.

I don't usually go but once a month unless i have to pick up bread, milk etc. & i usually get it at the dollor store instead of the grocery. I have a hard time getting things in my house & really should go more often so i wouldn't have so much to get it. The more i go the more i buy, lol so i try to stay out of the grocery.IF I went everyday i could find something to buy, lol.

I try to keep it down to just once a week or less. Since I live out in the woods, and work from home, going to the store is a special trip that takes 30 mins just to get there. When I go I try to get as much as I can, so I dont have to go again too soon. The problem with this is I tend not to eat the 'better for you' types of foods, namely salad. the stuff to make salad doesnt last very long and I would need to go shopping more often to keep these in stock. I get some fresh fruit, some canned, and eat a lot of the longer stay vegies like onions, potatoes. I also have a freezer so I can buy large quantities of what ever meet is on sale that week. I rarely have to throw anything away.

I go once to twice a month. Every month I put back $700 dollars to go towards groceries. The whole month prior to going I am making the list so that I can get in there and get out. By the time I am done I have enough stuff for a little over a week and can feel comfortable about not worrying what to cook. The only thing that we end up having to go get at all is milk and bread, but other than that the bulk of the shopping is done the first week of the month.
