The mind is willing but body is struggling....

I am struggling to write this post as I am so tired today. No, not from work, but from badminton games. I think I have "overplayed" tonight and I feel my whole body aches, lol. I have every intention to post every night at mylot, but my body pain is "killing" me (I think I will hit the sack after this post, lol). Have you experienced the same situation before where you thought you needed to do a thing but the body was just not cooperating? What was that experience?

Yes I know what you mean my friend, I feel the same way too lately, I wasn't able to post anything. I come home late at night and although the spirit is willing the flesh is weak. I will try to start something today and answering to your post, I hope will give me the right boost. I've been out of circulation these days. Miss mylotting especially you.LOL

Yes, glad to know you are an athletic person. It's good for the body and the mind, it will prevent those lines from appearing too. Hahaha. It will slow down and signs of the aging process. No wonder why you look so young in your photo. I thought that was your daughter's picture. Malunggay soup is excellent. Take it from me my friend. It makes wonders. hahaha

I noticed you were not here for two centuries, too, hahahaha. I always look forward to a very few substantial posts here which all come from .... you, yeah. I am sure there comes a time when we all feel like this. It has been three days that I have only been reading posts here and didn't have the "feel" to comment on them. Right boost (or left, hahaha), hope I can give it a try. I still am nursing muscle pains from badminton (been cramming for the senior citizens' tournament of the government agencies here in our city, hahaha). I also need the right push to get back into things. . Do you think our malunggay does the trick now? hahahahaha

I often have such experience as you have said above. Everyday, when after the whole work, I will sit in front of the computer and open myLot, then I will read some interesting discussions and post responses. You see, I often get tired because I work hard all the day, so sometimes I may not have any passion to do something else. However, perhaps I have formed a habit of posting responses in myLot. So, even if I am very tired and want a rest, I will still tend to spend some other time here. myLot is really an attractive place for me. Happy myLotting!

You are right. Because of our day work, we tend to get tired to do other things at the end of the day. Sometimes though, we still go online and post, as a matter of habit. But yesterday was different ... even with the thought of still doing it, my body was really not willing.

Rest and do the rest later, hahahaha. We just have to get energy and strength before we can do anything.

Happens to me a lot actually, especially when it comes to mylot because I know I have to do a certain amount of answering discussions every day or I will not make pay out at the end of the month. So there are times when I am just so tired and I want to go to bed but I will still try and crank out those certain amount of responses and sometimes I can't even really think of what to say or I can not type as fast as usual, and I am sitting here with one eye cloesed trying to write a logical response.

Hahahaha. That happens to me at times, too. Practically nothing enters my mind already but I have this personal commitment to post a number of discussions each day to easily reach payout at end of the month. Sometimes, I force myself to comment on some easy posts. But last night was a different one. My body was rendering me incapable of even sitting and typing posts away. I rested after I did that one particular post. Thanks!

Well yes, i have experienced this a lot of times already. I remembered when i was still studying and having my duties in the hospital. After a long night of doing the requirements i still have to wake up early to go on duty and even if my mind would want to go and work but my body isn't cooperating. Thinking you can't be absent for one day or else it will be equivalent to another 3days duty :(

I can feel for you. You must be from Cebu, too? If so, there is a possibility that you might be of the same school as my daughter as we are referred by the same person. Well, I can very well attest to what you are saying. I worry about how my daughter's health can cope with such stressful and stringent schedule you had while you study and do your paper requirements and have your hospital duty on the side. Luckily, she and surely yourself, too, did it well. Sacrifice paid off for you. God bless!

I often experienced the same situation like you.such as,I know I must study, but feel very tied, and the brain can't get started, even if I force myself to concentrate on the materials, but it can't work, and exhaust the body.this makes things even worse. when face this situation,I think,we should do some other things to relax, and get enough energy.relaxation is not only from the body, but from the spirits.just have a deep breath and have a fully relaxation in the bottom of heart.

Yes, you have a point there, uncle2302. Relaxation is not just for the body but for the spirit. We need to do it to regain lost or waning energy to prepare us for another task ahead.

Yes, I have experience that so many times. Usually I go mylotting at home after work. There are times that I just am very tired and when I try to post here or try to respond to post, I can only do one or two because I am tired already. Obviously when I am tired, I cannot think well as my mind and body wants me to sleep already. Of course I would follow the will of my body and rest. I am thinking that when I am tired and force myself mylotting, I would be ineffective.

You are absolutely right there. Even with much determination to do things or post discussions, we just are unable to do it because the body needs rest. It would be useless forcing ourselves. You will not get the same good results as when you are fully rested and well. Might as well rest then post when you feel good and ready.

I experience that often. After a whole day at work, I am always excited to go home and settle in front of my computer to post a lot of discussions, get in touch with my friends via Facebook or YM!. However, there are times when I just do not have the strength and so I just go to bed and sleep.

Yes, I think we need to rest first then do things when we feel okay. Thanks.

hello voldrox, Yes, I had some rest after I started that discussion. I was already very very tired and sleepy. I was just feeling guilty last night that I missed the opportunity to post. I am feeling better now ... alive and kicking! hahaha

hello, wow just like when i volunteered to help my brother in his work. in my situation, i can read but responding and commenting is another, it's hard to do so since body is kinda weak and can't manage. yes, i have encountered this situation before and it happened last week only. well, it's better to cooperate with the body since the mind can't really sustain if the body is weak

You are right there, letran. No use forcing our bodies to go on when we are so tired. It surely does not do any good to our bodies and we are not getting better results with it.

I used to play football up to the college level. After every practice and game, I felt like you feel and just wanted to sleep. What has helped me is to keep my meals light and frequent. Take around 5-6 meals a day. They shouldn't be that big, so don't stuff yourself. Just enough to give you energy until the next feeding. This will keep your blood sugar level at a normal rate and speed up your metabolism. Also try some deep breathing if you have to do some work, but don't have enough energy. This will help give you a shot of relaxed energy for another 1/2 to 1 hour. In your particular situation now, I would just go to bed and worry about posting tomorrow.

I did go to bed right after I started that discussion. I am feeling better now and now posting a bit. Thanks, I will take note of your good advice here.

I remember when i was a senior student, i wanted to stay up to study more, but my body told me to go to bed to have a good sleep. I know it is good to study hard but i just couldnot resist the comfort of my bed. And now i want to get up early to prepare breadfast for my family but my body just likes to stay under the warm cover. LOL.

If the body is tired and you feel your body can no longer function well, it is best to rest and regain strength and energy to continue what you have left undone. Thanks.
