Do You Stop Working on New Sites Until You Get Paid?

I joined this site about 2 months ago, I reached the minimum amount and cashed out. I even had to fill out a W-9 and had to pay to have it faxed. I got an email from the site telling me that they received my W-9 and would be sending my payment via paypal within in a couple of days that was a week and a half ago. Now I am getting concerned it is a paypal payment which is pretty much instant. So I am not working on the site until I get that payment, I am not going to waste my time if they are not trustworthy, but I am annoyed because I had to pay almost $3.00 plus my gas and time to fax that over, not to mention they now have my social security information and everything. Have you ever stopped participating on a site because it took too long for them to pay you?

Yes, actually. I can understand your concerns and they are valid. After all, we are here to earn money. No point in putting much effort in something if it isn't worth your while.

I used to work for ChaCha, I didn't work there long though. I was doing work for a few days and they suddenly decided to stop paying into my earnings. I stopped doing any work and checked back a few days later and didn't hear anything about any site problems. Why waste your time doing paid work for free. I know alot of people have had success with ChaCha but I can't say anything good about it. I did about 10 answers that I noticed I didn't get any earnings for even though I got earnings for my other answers.

That is a shame, I have heard about some people making money there, but I have heard that some have had problems too.

Yes, I have. I am to the point that I do not do much other than personal freelance, MyLot and Gather. I can trust all of those. What you just said about faxing your info does sound scary. I hope it gets resolved soon.

I am getting a bit worried about that too, the company is not in the United States so I think that is why I had to send that. I am going to send an email tomorrow to them. If I don't get a payment from them I will send red flag warnings on all of the sites I write for.

Of course I did. I always stop doing something if the payment is not coming on time. why should we work for someone that is not even concerned about paying on time? It only shows he doesn't care about you, isn't it? there are too many sites already that really pay, why waste time with those that are not paying? so that was the best decission to make.. quit doing jobs, before you get paid :)

I'm in the UK and wasn't aware that any form needed to be filled in to claim earnings? Is a W-9 for US users only or will I need to do similar?

You need to respond to many discussions, if you write your own discussions, you must reply to people that respond and remember to mark a best response once your discussion has reached a conclusion. Your money will go up you just need to stick with it and post as much as you can

There are many Scam Sites out there and I really hope this was not one of them as you have passed all your Infromation on to them, you should have checked them out first really I really hope that you do get your Payment and that it was not some sort of a scam You might want to get in contact with them again And no I would not go back to the Site either

For sure. My time is very valuable I can not waste on a site that has not paid me, I need to know I can trust a site. Until I reach that first pay out I give them the benifit of the doubt, but if there are any problems with payments at all then I am done with that site. I don't have a lot of time to be on line so my online time is valuable.

Hello ladym33, before i start to work on a paying site, i usually get evidence of a legit cash out to assure my time spent on the site will be worth it. The sites i have worked on have paid me in a couple of days, if not, a week maximum. If a site has a high payout, i wouldn't be bothered to use my time on it. I suggest, next time, don't give out any personal information before you check out if it is legit or not.

Hi, I have stopped working with sites wherein they do not pay and keep it pending for long duration. There is no point in working for such sites when there is no hope of getting any payment. When your minimum payout itself is less and as such in my opinion the question of working further should not arise.Thanks.

Yes I do that. When I cash out, I give 30 days because that is the maximum time it should take for amy site to pay up and if after 60 days, I dont see anything, I delete my account. These days, a lot of sites are paying instantly and I think all sites should do that at least a maximum of 7 days is okay

I have joined many sites which are online and promise paying good amounts. I have enrolled many sites , but unfortunately i crash out even before reaping a penny out of it. I found many these sites are just scams and nothing else.So it simply means i don't work on sites until i get paid for. But i have never given up hope.Am an internet savvy and will definitely reap benefits in near future.
