I try to put my decorations away every year neatly so that i can use them the following year,as to save money. Some times i will buy a few new decorations if the others get damaged as long as they are very cheap. As for lights fot the tree or the window i always tend to buy spare bulbs so that i do not forget the types of bulbs they have when i buy new lights.

Me too,in our country,we don't consider the christmans day as a official publish holiday,we usually take the spring festival as the biggest holiday. In christmas day,I usually bought my friend a pack of apple.

India is my home country. There we do have have Christmas as a holiday. In our place all homes will be decorated with lightings and stars. We do bake cakes and give to neighbours to share the joy of Christmas. Also we have Christmas carols. Often Santa visits homes with gifts depending on where you live.

We use the same tree & lights annually, so far the lights have lasted for 2 yrs... hope it'll be ok for a few more yrs haha... as for the ornaments, I cant resist getting new ones every year especially when they are on clearance sale!!! Therefore, my tree is 'prettier' year after year!

I use the same decorations every year as i would rather spend my money on other things that i need that are more important as well as that will be use for more than a few days.I tend to also take my tree down as well as all the other decorations on boxing day as that way it makes alot more room.

We do put up new decorations. We use old decorations too. It is fun to have our homes decorated. It adds to the joy of Christmas. Using old decorations can help the environment and also would help you save money.

I think this year my mother is planning of buying a new decorations for our home. Some of our decorations was put on garbage can because of Typhoon Ondoy. We only have few things now, and we will buy some new decorations early December. We will try to make our house be with Christmas spirit, so that it makes the ambiance look and feel happy. We always have a christmas lights and Christmas lanterns, I don't know if we will buy Christmas tree, will see.

Come to think of it, yes. Sometimes, the lights that we have don't work so they have to be replaced. We tend to buy new ones. Apart from that, we also buy different decors and sell the old ones (ones that are still in good shape) in fund raisers for the homeless.

Yep, sell the old ones. There are some churches here that do "garage sales" or "second hand sales" just before Christmas and they got some Christmas decor and other stuff included in the mix.

Well this year I won't do anything. My daughter I guess will do it all. When my husband and I were together we bought new ones the first year but since then we have kept all of them. If we had a bigger tree we had to sometimes add some to fill in. I still have some decorations that I had as a kid and some that belonged to my mother.

I keep my decorations year to year and at times if I see something that grabs my eye, I may pick up something new but I don't buy much for sure. Once, my cousin moved quite a distance away and inadvertently took with her all my decorations that I had stored at her home. That year I held a Christmas party and all the guests were required to bring a homemade ornament and put it on my tree. It was the coolest thing and what great keepsakes of them all.

Hey jugs! I save my decorations from year to year too! If I see something new that I like I will buy it! But, since I don't decorate like I used to I really don't buy too many new things anymore! I really am thinking of putting up my big old tree and if I was to do that then I would have to invest quite a bit of money since I got rid of all my glass ornaments because of my cats! I would really have to buy alot of new ornaments and things that weren't glass because it is a very big and full tree! I really have to think about it and discuss it with my boyfriend/ roomated and see what he wants to do. He seems happy enough with the little 2 foot tree, but I really want to put the big one up, but we really can't afford it right now!

I like to put our decorations away that way they can be used for the next year. There is always stuff that I end up buying because I either need it or because I see a decoration that I like. I always like my kids handmade decorations the best and can't wait to see what they make in school to bring home for the tree. We are the same as you with buying spare bulbs just in case one or two blow out then we can easily just replace them without having to run out into the cold. But for the most part we just reuse until it needs replaced unless I see something I really like. Happy mylotting =)

We have a family tradition for Christmas decorations./ I try to buy at least one new ornament for our Christmsas tree each year. We enjoy all of our older ornaments but there is always room for one more special ornament to hang on the tree.

We will keep all our decorations neatly for the next year with good packing. But every year we will add something new because some thing will be damaged so we have to replace that. Then we will see something new in the shops, which we will add. Every year we have to change the electrical bulbs . We will buy new balloons every year. Finally, we are not celebrating too many festivals .This is the main celebrations so we will spend generously on Christmas.

I recycle christmas decorations. I only see to it that the design or style of my decorations is deifferent from the previous year. If i need to buy some additional trimmings, that is the time i go to the shops, but i see to it that my expenses is very minimal. Everytime i go to Baguio, Philippines i go to the park and pick up pine cones. I keep it for christmas time and put glitters or paint them. I usually make this as trimmings for the christmas wreaths and center pieces. I also collect tiny twigs and dried grasses for additional trimmings or a different kind of wreath. Old newspapers or newsprint is also a good christmas decoration. It only takes a little creativity. Merry Christmas!

No, for the past two years i have kept the christmas decorations well so that they can still put to good use. When i buy decors I don't choose the cheapest I look for good quality so that they can last a number of years or so.

No, it's quite hard to make a living these days and Christmas decors are also becoming expensive too so we used the ones that can be still useful. We can also be creative, recycle items and turn it into a new one. This helps in saving the earth somehow. As for the ones that uses electricity, you must check it and observe it for hours if it would still be safe to use them.
