fellow mylotters firefox might be great for lots of tabs at the same time] but it let me down this weekend. I thought it was mylot's fault and it was not. I just went back to internet explorer and zoom zoom all my responses loaded immediately. what is it with firefox and mylot? Has anyone else had firefox not load your responses? Am I jinxed or something? I tried to trouble' shoot but gave up. interested to know what others have or have not had troubles with firefox.

Hello Grandmaof2. I've experienced the same thing lots of times. I type long responses and then the posts don't go through and I lose them. I'm glad I saw this discussion because I didn't have a clue why I couldn't post properly. Now I know why.

I found out just in time when my son was going to fix firefox that it was mylot all along, because I tried fire fox again and no problem so mylot admins did do somethiing to speed things along. now firefox is just fine.

My tabs close and freeze up all the time now. I don't think it's doing it now but the recent firefox update took twice to update and then tree times after to say that it wasn't updating! I was confused as the screen came up that firefox always defaults when something has updated! Mylot has had connection time out once or twice today though.

Ask your son to come over to help! I don't know that much about it myself so we usually have my husband's cousin help us when we need help with the computer! Of course he comes from another county so we pay him for the travel!

It's not mylot, most browsers are buggy these days. They are updating and it can really affect us users. Just limit your tabs with a maximum of 4 or 5 to avoid it. It may be your computer memory to and we need to upgrade it. I'm not really sure on your situation. I rarely experience that problem because I am mylotting in the office where my pc is high end for gaming. Hehehe

hahaha mylotting is okay in the office. The only thing that we cannot do is video streaming but we still do it at times or pure boredom. haha!

Hi Hatley, why are you insisting on sending discussions about things I haven't got a clue about into my inbox. Why haven't I got one of these firefox things in place to stop you sending me this stuff. If I had it too I wouldn't be able to receive all these things about loading and zooming. Signed Greek techniphobe.

My ten year old knows more than me. This was dangerous starting this Hatley, you might end up with lots of technical responses which will bore you witless. That reminds me, how is the roomie?

I have not been on the internet much this weekend, but when i was on Mylot it did seem very slow to load and i have fire fox as well.So it was slower than normal so perhaps it was firefox.Happy Mylotting.

yes it was firefox as internet explorer is letting me load my responses, a bit slow at times but at least it is working. i like firefox until this weekend never had a problem loading. I am sure my computer expert son can fix the problem but i sure did not know how to do it so went back to IE

Same thing happened to me last night, IE was soooo quick with mylot, while firefox was on deathbed. I'm not sure why, but now I know and I'll sue IE for mylot.

Hi Sweetie I think there must be a problem with Firefox at the moment as I have just responded to another Member about his going slow Mine is playing up to as it is not remembering my histories and it is not Spell Checking either so I do not know what is up with Firefox lately but I hope the Issues will be sorted soon

hi gabs yes I really do think its firefox as when I went back to my old internet explorer things download slowly but they do download. I tried to trouble shoot using the firefox trouble shooter info but it got so complicated I was afraid if I tried allthe things I might make more trouble and still not get it fixed so for now Internet explorer will have to do for mylot. My son will come see me Wednesday so he can fix it for me. hugs hatley.

Oh my gosh I just checked and 2 of my responses aren't even there. And I thought it was MyLot not my Firefox browser that was at fault. Everthing I was doing here was moving so slow. It never crossed my mind that it was my browser. Oh well I will try again and see what happens. I just don't trust IE at all, too many holes that leaves my PC vulnerable. At least with Firefox I don't have to worry so much about viruses or Trojans. Hope it is working better now.

I saw your comment about using Firefox and being able to use Facebook..do you have the newer version? You see I don't, and they recently did an upgrade thing at FB so maybe knocked out people using the older Firefox versions

I don't think it was firefox, Hatley. I use it as well and it really dragged this past weekend and not just with mylot. It was like that no matter what sites I went to.

okkkkk....where the heck is my brain at tonight? I meant...it was firefox but not just with mylot. I had problems with it all weekend, specially yesterday. I won't go back to IE till I find a way to downgrade back to 7.0 or whatever it was before 8.0 cause IE gives me nothing but problems..mainly freezing or just closing out with constant errors.

Well I have Firefox but I have an earlier version as I never upgraded...I've heard people have a lot of problems with the newer version so maybe that's the problem?? I do encounter one problem though. It seems I can't use my Firefox anymore over at Facebook, so I have to switch and use my Safari browser. But here it's fine for me and no problems

Me too, kowgirl. Only reason I still have IE is cause some of my survey sites require it to do the surveys.

Hi Hatley! I have noticed that my responses are very slow in posting and did wonder why. Maybe it is firefox so for that reason, I'm going to go to internet explorer to see if it works better. So I have to say, no it's not just you that it's happening to but I hope that IE works better so my posts will go up quicker. Thanks for posting this!!

fwidman I only went back to Internet Explorer as a last resort as I could not' fix whatever problem firefox is having,it seems it is firefox's problem not 'mylot as all the rest of you seem to not be having this hangup on loading responses and comments. it just stopped and would not load at all. I am sure my son can fix whatever it is that caused firefox to do that.

I am actually new to firefox myself...I have always used IE, but my desktop was having problems and we finally took it down and hubby gave me his old laptop and he had firefox on it... so I downloaded IE7...since I have heard of others having problem with IE8, and now I have both of them to use and this way I can use both and compare them and see which one works out better for me... this is very new to me...less than 2 weeks so I really cant give my opinion on it just yet. I hope you are able to stay with the IE then and that it works for you all the time!! Happy mylotting.

I have no idea what is up with Firefox. I have tried it before and it never did work well for me with anything I tried to do online. I exclusively use internet explorer. It works very well.

I havent had issues so far with mylot and firefox. However i really havent been around very much of late and most problems i do have I've been attributing to the fact that im using a 64 bit edition of windows 7. Glad you got things working a bit better with IE!

hi patsie. so far, i have no problems of this kind or any of other kinds of problem, with mylot using firefox. definitely, it's firefox that gives me the best experience with mylot, and any other sites i came to be busy with. i tried other browsers, but i found it more eased with firefox, so i will never change to any other browsers again.

I tried Firefox once, and it wouldn't let me play at my favorite game site, so I too wend back to Internet Explorer. It's been a number of years since I've tried it, and your experience just reinforces that I don't want to. LOL...interesting use of symbols there. I would ask for a translation, but knowing how frustrating computer issues can be, I don't think I need one. Glad you are all 'fixed' and back in business!
