hi friends, this discussion is to them who have not used their own avatar. ( others also can participate). so do u think that your avatar is reflecting your identity? if so then do u go to the meaning of your avatar? i mean to the purport. are you conscious in choosing a picture as your avatar so that it can represent some ideas about you here?
what is the meaning of your avatar and why u have choosed it?
please share. have a nice day to all of you. thanks.

Hi there!
I have not given it a serious thought, whether our avatar reflects our identity, however, your discussion has made me think that when we choose our avatar, it may due to some of our inner thoughts and feelings. I have found very few, how dare to choose their real photographs as their avatars. Many use the photographs of popular hero and heorines to camouflage their real identity. And some of the users keep changing their avatar, I think that reflects change in their thinking pattern and personality.
Quite an interesting post!!

I am not too handsome to upload my own photo. I am comfortable with my present avatar and for my dear friends, it has become my identity to them.

hello shibham!hahaha...i don't think this tiffany avatar of me is a reflection of who am i...hehe coz there's no way i am like her...huh! this avatar is just meant for some child's play!but anyway, my very first avatar...remember the luminous heart on my hands...i guess that reflects or tells something about me... coz i always have a heart ready to love and always in love! hehe and i just love the color of it! very nice...

hi shibham, well yeah i do become conscious when i want something to reflect myself, i chose this one coz playing drums is my hobby and when playing somewhere in the public if i am lost into the music you could see me head banging and playing that way.

you play drums too! nice to know that, hehe well not this much banging though lol... i dunno but i get lost into the music at times and forget that i am actually conscious of the people watching, only after the song ends i return to my usual state, well i don't get those many opportunities though i am just still a student and i love playing drums and giving small competitions thats all.

Yeah, I can play drums. Drums are my favorite instruments.
Take your picture while playing drums and upload the pic to your avatar - this will be more cool than this one, which you use now for avatar. I like this too, but it will be more better whit your real pic. :)

for me i chose the fictional character of bar simpson because that's my aka but it doesn't represent the real me, it' totally opposite of me, i'm not mischievous, rebelious and i have highest respect to authority...my aka was coined when i was still high school 'the simpson' was hit then then i got a flap top haircut just like bart simpson so i was called bart from then on..

Hi there.
I hate when I see members whit NO-avatars in their profile. That kind of profiles are so boring and uninteresting. Everytime when I see profile without avatar I think that this guy is very dumb or lazy to invent him something...

wow nice to hear that KompitaPita... it is the passion which helps us learn it ourselves, as a child i always searched for the drum part in some of the songs i watched and i progressed i used to watch some video tutorials and then some from youtube as well... the most wonderful part was i always used to practice in the air i mean not with the actual set... i always used to do like that, and when i got to finally do something with the real set i could play the basic 4 beat pattern which others find it difficult to start with for the first time, it was funny i mean ok i didn't actually not have any ideas but still i could do that for the first time on the real set, in days i performed for a small function at my college in 2005 and i was glad for that, i got to rehearse for just a few days and i was able to land on the stage just like that, i mean someone asked me you know how to play drums right? and i said yeah, hehe i guess i could say that confidently after asking which song he would want me to play... the song was countdown by europe and i said yeah i can ... well i even played it, i mean with complete simplicity but yeah just a few days after actually getting my hands on a real set for the first time, it was amazing.. well now even i can say that i have pretty much improved but i am no professional either and just play for fun coz i like to, i am now trying to play some nice songs, i am still weak with rolling and fillers but yeah that will get better with time to, i can't improvise that is the only biggest problem now, but practice will certainly make it better... hope you have a nice time drumming ... nice to meet you ^^

I chose an avatar that does reflect my identity. My name in my language means 'twilight' and that is exactly what my avatar depicts. When I choose an avatar, it needs to reflect me or my personality or something about me. On Facebook and Orkut, my profile pics are usually pics of me or of those of my kids.

But here u have added an interesting and meaningful avatar. Is it sunrise or sunset? Whatever it is, think it as sunrise with new hope and works. Try to lighten others life as sun which will be more meaningful depth of your avatar. Thanks and sorry for being late. Lol

Yes, avatar do tell something about the person behind it. Though I have changed my avatar several times but each time I end up having an avatar of a woman and not any other symbol. I don't really know why I have chosen this sort of picture as my avatar but someone ever asked me the same question 'How does the avatar represent you? I have no conclusive answer as I choose avatar at random. The present avatar was chosen because of the color red which is matching to my star color.

Well this a good question. I have never given any thought to how my avatar would represent me or mean to me as others would view it because personally I didn't care. But now you have me thinking what was thinking about my avatar other than the fact that I thought wow it looks hot! lol

Hi shibham
I see that you have changed your avatar. If I'm not wrong, your previous avatar was a picture of a man, am I right? But now you have a picture and I don't know what is it. May I know what your profile picture is?
Hm, my avatar reflect my username, chrysanTflower = chrysanthemum flower. At first, it was the only reason why I use my current avatar. But now I like it, especially its pink color! It is soft and I consider myself as soft and feminine girl too
Have a nice day too!

Altough I don't use any avatar but I think it reflects one's identity in the forum. And if yo don't use any avatar the ID look so dull. But we always can not refer the identity of the person by the avatar. Because sometime people use the avatar of their role model or people like whom they want to be.

The avatar I am using is my real face. When I was new here in Mylot I don't know that i can use other picture other than my real picture. I always thought that when you said avatar it means, your real face hahahahaha. So I put mine. However , as three years has passed I planned to do not change it. I want to have a smiling image here in Mylot. Actually some of my friends recognized me by seeing my picture first before my username. They can easily detect that is the smiling grecychunny. Anyhow, the meaning of my avatar is just simple. By my picture, I want people to think I am greeting them with a smile. That I am happy to participate in their discussion , that here is Grecychunny dropping by. Actually, when I started a topic and the topic is about my problems and it was so sad, my friends are confused because although I already shared my problems they can't believe that I am really sad because of my smiling avatar. For real, when the picture was taken I was inlove that is why I smile with full of happiness.

Hi Shibham,
You please tell me what you think when looking in my avatar? Do you think it has any meaning? I simply selected the picture of a bird, I like birds very much. Earlier I used my son’s photo as an avatar (not in mylot) some of my friends suggested me to remove the photo as many people are visiting and watching the photo. According to them it may lead some evil eye on my son, lol, I don’t believe in superstitions but at the same time I don’t want to disappoint them by neglecting their advise so I changed it. That is the reason for selecting bird’s picture here in mylot.

Yes, it somehow reflect halfway as in real life I think more of funny things, sometimes playful, sometimes annoying and most of the times acting like a dumb smart girl. I may be looking serious but some think of me as capable of doing funny acts unintentionally it just comes out and even myself do not know that i look funny. Well, that is how I speak , my movement and the way I act. Although, I hate to think seriously, though i may look serious and boring. I do love funny people, funny acts and those who act like a comedian. Those cool people and very humorous is very infectious..Thus, I think of myself as boring thus like to be in the company of people who like fun that is still a limitation. As I know if it's time for fun or serious time then I match it with the moods of me and those around me.

I guess that my avatar reflects my identity. I tried to find something that was pretty and stood out, and I was told that I did a good job with the picture that I chose. It is a picture that I took myself, so that would at least partially be a representation of me, wouldn't it?

I think you are right that it does represent at least part of my personality, because I do really love nature, especially flowers. You are very perceptive, Shibham.

Hello everyone
This is harshmthakkar18.
As I am new to mylot, I don't know much about avatar right now but I think its like the the different user accounts in one windows os.
each have their own settings or represent their two type of identities.
Please let me know if I am incorrect.
Good luck to all of you.
Happy Mylotting.
