Is it really possible to earn from Twitter?
Or you have to sign-up with other Third Party programs like RevTwt?
Some say Twitter helps you draw referrals to your account.
Some say you have to have more or at least 50 followers to be able to earn.
What do you think about this?
I tried to post tweets from Twitter. Tweets they say is a 140 character message that you can post, saying "what are you doing?" A simple text message that your followers can view from their Twitter account. Simple but still you can post links to your affiliate accounts or referral programs.
But how exactly we can earn from Twitter?
By the way, I also added Twitter Application to my Facebook account. And I set it to update my Facebook account whenever I have new tweets or status in Twitter. Just like, hitting two birds with one stone.

Hi Neil,
I opened a twitter account out of curiosity, as this is one of the "in" things these days. But after signing up, I didn't know what to do with it. I tried to make some tweets to keep my account active, or at least to say that there is an activity going on, but after a few weeks, I got bored with it. And the earning part? I've been sent links telling me ways to earn from twitter, but I realized I can't qualify because I didn't have the required number of followers. So now I rarely visit the site.

i joined out of curiosity as well but am not even sure earning there is even possible since people prefer to do their own thing in putting their own link of sites. well,i still don't get the twitter thing so i just stop and only check there when there is a problem with mylot.@neildc (17239)

out of curiosity? well, in the first place, that's why i also joined thatt so "IN" thing, especially with the media and the celebrities. actually, i usually get the tweets from the entertainment people who do not know me or the politicians, trying to get my vote. but some twitterers say there is really money in twitting. and that's what i want to know how.

And who won't be curious? They say even Obama has a twitter account and he actually used it to gain votes which brought him to Presidency. But still, I find the site boring, even the tweets aren't interesting enough to make me stay long.

I've read so much about how to earn from twitter account, but first and foremost you have to build a reputation, it requires certain no. of followers, which, if you're not really popular, will be difficult to reach. But if you say celebrities and political figures are chasing you to get your vote

Sorry friend but it seems I can't help you on this issue. I have a Twitter account but after signing up I was unable to go back again to the site and now I don't even know how to open it. I really don't have enough time attending to social sites like this. This is the reason why I don't even have any account with Facebook or Friendster. I think it will not be possible for me to maintain it.
I hope someone here can give you a good answer that will give you a good idea on the subject.

thanks for the input my friend. sometimes, i really think of deleting my accounts from those sites. they just kill the time without nothing to earn. at least, here on mylot, we have something to look forward to, at the end of the month.

Hi Neil,
Gosh, I couldn't bothered with twitter, I have got a account with twitter but it just seems pointless to me, I am on Facebook and also I am on many other ning sights but they I don't make money from it but keeping in touch with friends and chatting to them daily, I did go into my twiiter but just cannot tell head nor tail about it, plus don't really have time time to follow anybody, lol! hugs.

posting links within tweets? is that what you mean? well, that's one thing i know as of this moment, but i still don't have referrals coming from that site.

You have a better chance earning on yuwie than you ever will on twitter, getting all the people needed will be really hard, if you wanna instantly gain a follower, say something about Charles Manson in one of your tweets, and he will follow you, and yes I'am serious...lol
For real he will follow so do it at your own risk...

i also had yuwie account before, but that one seems to be a lifetime too, for me to earn, so i quit. i have a few followers already in twitter. but i still have to learn more from other twitterers.

that is actually what i am trying to know from this discussion. i hope somebody here could tell us exactly how or if there's really a truth on this.
