Good News: Another Glitch

I understand what you're saying. I think the administration has gone on vacation and let the little Gremlins take over myLot. There seems to be quite a few glitches lately. The biggest one I've seen has been the star rating of everyone, or practically everyone, anyway. I went from a 10 to a 6, which I hate, only because I don't like pink! I look so much better in blue. I haven't noticed if they've fixed that yet or not but I'm sure they will. Maybe they're getting ready to upgrade again? It seems that every time they do, we have all kinds of strange glitches. Typically, I don't pay attention to whether I get a comment or response in the emails. As long as it's something new added to a discussion of mine, I'll read it without noticing whether it's a new response or new comment.

yes i think this is a good news for all of us specially to all active ones.. i also noticed this before and can't figure out why it's happening, maybe there are just a little technical problems around.. and i am happy it's back for good again.!!

neildc I guess it must be because I have beenat this for hours so my tired brain is fogging up but this is a comment on another comment,or what? well if we get paid for doing all of these, comments,responses, and discussions I dont really care just what they call it. If it adds a bit more to my earnings I will be a happy camper for sure. This might indeed be a very good thing. we shall see. good night, gotta get some 'sleep.

Hi Neil, well I haven't had any new comments or responses as it's morning and they tend to come in in the night. Are you saying that we now get an alert on a further comment after the original response, that's what I've been wanting ever since I signed up here. The only way to test it is to get someone to go back in and recomment again where they've already responded. Fancy checking it out on your last response to me Neil then I can see.

hello neildc, it seems that your notifications are completely back to normal.there's no doubt that mylot had been experiencing some glitches over the past few days and yours is one of them. good thing you didn't loose your account. at least you can check friends discussions before. i hope the admin at least let us know what's going on their site

Ohh, It's been awhile I didn't start a discussion so I have no idea about that glitch or changes.... That is great though! Thanks for informing us!

Hi neildc, I got the point what you are trying to convey. We are getting notification when a new response came on our discussion. Usually mylot is not sending a notification if a person who already responded and adding some comments. I have gone through the similar situation earlier 2-3 times. The notification is saying 'new response' but when I check it was a comment by a person who already responded. If it is a glitch it is a good one because there is no option to know about the comments added by a person who already responded and we have to recheck the discussion entire discussion again to find it out. Mylot is doing good mistakes sometimes.

I say, I'm not set up to receive e-mails on responses. I have enough trouble keeping up with the ones on new discussions. but one day when I have lots of time (ha!) I may test the theory!

Yes I think mylot is really sending notice of new response even if it is only just an additional comment added. I've been receiving that too. It is considered new response but actually it is just a new comment added to a previous one. I don't think that is a glitch neildc.

Hi Neil, Since I haven't started a discussion in a long time, I probably wouldn't be able to find this out for myself. Anyhow, if this is going to be a regular thing then this is something that most if not all of us will appreciate. I hope it's not just one of those mistakes, but a permanent thing. Have a good day!

I did notice about it, but I never thought about it until you mentioned about it! I have been missing some new notifications lately so, it's taking up some of my time to go back and check the discussions I started if I have received any new response or 'add comment'. Usually, I will only realize it when I check my 'unresolved' discussions for the BR, there were some comments that failed to notify me.
