My family motivates me to be a better person and as much as possible do bad things even if we are having a hard time on the present economic situation. My family and my goals in life motivates me to work hard in order for me to be a successful individual someday and an individual whose goals focuses not only for self but to help others. To be an individual that can help the society progress and not the one who will destroy it.

Doing something good gives us a kind of peace and a feeling of positive energy in our hearts. Working hard is necessary for us to achieved our heart's desire without being answerable to anybody else. the feeling of satisfaction comes from knowing that all we have are the fruit of our own hands, the product of our labor. So, let us not stop doing this, and let us influence our children to do the same. Good Luck!

Hi RJ,
What keeps me going is my family too. They are my source of inspiration and strength. Life is hard but they keep it easier for me. They always brighten my day. Their hugs and kisses energize me and sustain my motivation to continue working hard and appreciating life because i know i have a family ever loving and supportive of me!

There are many factors to motivate us to work hard to be a better person. When it comes to the motivation of life, I guess different people have different answers from different angles.
Of courses, among all factors that motivate us to be successful, money may be the major one, which is really a necessity of our daily life. Besides, for me, love, family and dream are all my motivation to work hard and enjoy a better life. When I am working hard, then I can earn more money and have money to buy a big house and get married with my girlfriend. At the same time, I can help my parents enjoy a better life if I am successful someday.
In fact, if I can be a better person, all people around me may benefit from my success.

My family is the reason why I wanted to work hard & trying to meet both ends so that I can answer there needs & sometimes not too often their wants. Especially my mother I want to pay her back everything that she did for me & my family that's why it sadden me whenever she's out of budget or needed something & she has no money. It breaks my heart seeing her that way. I hope you get my point.

Many things motivates me to become a better person. The first one would be the God. His words always motivate me to do good things and help other people. The second is my girlfriend who always advice me whenever I did anything wrong. She would never miss to give advices whenever she sees a chance for me to make any improvement. She change me a lot and make me a better person. The third one is my family. I must become a good person so that my parents would be proud with me. I like to see their happy face when they are proud with me. Although they never say "I'm proud of you, son" but I will know it when they does. The forth one is my friends, they always praise me whenever I did something good. They always praise me for being hardworking and that motivates me a lot. The last one, of course is my goal of life.

That's great! I am often motivated by my family and my dreams in life also. Since I want to achieve those dreams, I often feel like I really have to work hard, hard, hard!:)

In my case, it's also family. I have a 3-yr-old daughter and I want her to have as many options and opportunities as possible. At the same time, it is also my goal to continue improving myself. Working hard is important in achieving personal goals, like in being a writer. I have to really work at it and not continue putting off my dream of publishing my own book. :)

I'm still single, and i'm going to get married this year end. I think the most important thing motivates me to work hard is I ought to be responsible to my parents and my future family of my own. Secondly, to live decently and meaningfully is another motivation for me to work hard.

I think all the usual things, like family, goals, money, my faith, those things.
But I think my biggest driving factor is probably just a sense of who I am. Hard to explain, but I feel there have been a lot of things I did because I was expected to, or because that label or limitation was placed on me at some point. I feel like I sort of know the 'real me' under all that, and my motivation is to ultimately be myself and do the things and live the way that I believe is truly authentic to me.

You are a very responsible parent your kids are happy to have you as their parent. You already have three that must be hard, i already have two kids and you know, it's hard but the hardships are worth it, specially when i see them appreciate what i am doing and i see them smile. Thank you so much for your response.

I used to go out and stay outside instead of staying home before I get married. My son motivates me and I have a big change. I sense that I need to change because I become a mother and I must take care of him very well. I divorce with my husband when my son was 3 years old. I feel very hard at that time. Although I am depressed, I need to work much hard than before because of our living.

sometimes it's hard to find motivation in someone or something else. sometimes you have to dig way down deep and find the motivation within yourself. i'm motivated around christmas to make money so that it can be wonderful for my children. but if i have to walk ten miles with my best friend she might be my source of motivation at the time. I'm just saying that motivation can come from a lot of sources and i take it where i can get it.

I have to say the samething. My motivation is my family especially my kids. I've put my goals to the side at this moment because I need to focus on my family and their needs like things of clothes, food, shelter, etc. the main things in life right that is had to come by especially with the way things are going. but my family is my means of focus.

rjvb myself and I suppose to some extent my son,as I want to be the best person
I can be so when I look at myself in the mirror I am not ashamed of me. I have
learned lately how to be a survivor and that may be a good lesson for all of
us during these tough economic times which we all do face. After all we do not
have to have all the latest electronic gadjets much as we may desire them. If
we have to choose between a lot of new this and thats, it is best to choose
to pay your bills and have money for food, rent and utilities first. the gadjets
can come later.

You are right specially at the current situation of the world economy we need to learn how to satisfy our selves and that satisfaction will make us a better person. We have the same motivation, it is our family. Thank you so much for this wonderful response! Hope to see more of your response to my future topics!

My family would be the main reason I'm motivated but other than the one that motivates me more is the eager to be independent and earn my own money and not be a burden in our family even if I'm still studying. That's why as early as now I'm trying to learn how to get extra income in earning programs here on the internet, and hoping I'll be successful, not being rich, but achieving my goal to help my family in financial problems.

Hi rjvb, I've seen some family friends being neglected and ill-treated by their children. So I have sort of pre-programmed myself never to be in that situation. Am I a better person? Well, that is a relative statement, I might be worse, as well. LOL. But, when compared to about 25 percent of individuals, I'd say, I am a better person, I dont like being a free-loader. So I guess, I am better than a few. :) But I think I associate being a better person with superior intellect. So I can only be as good as my brain can guide me. :)
