What do you mostly use your mobile/cell phone for?

Ive had a phone constantly for years but for most of the time i dont actually use it for calls. In fact i havent made a call myself for around 8 - 9 months now I just have it to receive calls and mostly to use text, internet, use for telling the time, game playing, storing names numbers and addresses, day and time planning and generally everything but ringing someone! I think its quite shocking that we have these "PHONES" but we often use them more for their applications etc than the phone itself. In truth they should be called "Portable P.C.'s with Mobile Phone technology" as this is what it is. some may think im just ranting on so what do you think?

I use my call phones mostly for making calls. Since I have a laptop almost everytime, I really don't use other features of cell phones except for listening to music sometimes.
Happy Lotting

I just recently bought a tracfone a few months back and the only reason I did is because I knew that we would be making road trips every other month to my daughters doctor and I did want to be traveling that far without a phone just in case something were to happen. So I bought the phone just for emergencies and I hardly ever use it. There has been a few times when my one friend has sent me a few text messages on it and I have used it to call home if I needed while I was out but other than that handful of times it has sat in my purse. It is nice though to have for emergencies.

I mainly use my mobile phone to text my friends as well as ring my daughter. It is free if i ring people that are the same net work as me,so i always ring them.If it is people who are not on the same network then i tend to text them.I find there are alot more people that tend to text rather than ring nowadays.Sometimes i will go on facebook if i am bored and i am not at home as i can also do this on my phone.

Trouble i think with txt is that sometimes you cant express what your trying to say properly so sometimes it can come across as quite blunt and/or arrogant. but i get free txt to the same network myself.

Hi. I mostly use my mobile for sending sms. Its much cheaper, and easier for me.
I do phone people from it on occasion, but since the cost can be prohibitive, I tend to leave it until the end of the month, when I know I must use up the remainder of the minutes I have left on my plan.
happy myLotting!

Today my cellphone is more like a entertainment tool for me. I especially like to watch movies and listen to books by my cellphone. Sometimes I will also take advantage of the GPS feature. My cellphone is quite important for me.
I love China

I think that most people would be lost without their phone nowadays as it has got evrything on it. I even know people that have never owned a watch as they use their phone to tell the time also.

I use my phone for many things, such as, a business phone line, an alarm, a "notepad" that rings reminders of my notes, a phonebook, etc. It's my everything. I could use it for the internet but hubby doesn't think it's warranted yet. I can't wait to get a new one that has a separate qwerty board so I could use it for email and surfing the net.
Sincerely in Christ,
Leesa C.

At least you use your phone to its whole potential so no-one could say youve wasted your money on it! Be careful you dont lose it or get it stolen cos you might be lost without it. Oh and thanks for the verses as im trying to have more faith of late and things like this help as i never know where to look when i pick up the bible and sometimes it seems to daunting so thanks so much.

i don't have a cell phone right now. so i just use my house phone. i don't need a cell phone and i think if i had one it would annoy me more then anything else really. having people being able to call me whenever and where ever.. or randomly be texting me stuff... i'm sure i would enjoy it sometimes but not always... i think the cell phone is overrated lol my cousin is telling me now that i've got a job i need to go out and buy one. lol i don't plan on it anytime soon though... my house phone works good enough for me. a cell phone would just be another bill and why pay for something if your not gonna use it? i'd like having internet with my every where i go but not being able to get called... i'm not much of a phone talker.

Fair play, i think sometimes i would be better off without one as i only have it for people to call me an its usually people i owe debts to! but the trouble is we get somewhat addicted to them and to be without would be quite an uncomfortable feeling now!

I can tell you that this is the best technology that has been invented so far. Mobile phone is part of my work. Aside from instant messages that I send and receive, I keep all my things to do, set up of my reminders, and update my calendar. I don't use it for sending emails as it will cost a fortune. It is also a very good way to exchange business cards with my boss or other colleagues. If my boss is too lazy to input his business contacts in his phone, I do it myself in my phone and send it to him as business card. It also works the same with his scheduled appointments. My boss, love me for this. It makes his life a lot easier when it comes to keeping his business contact details. However, when sending / receiving business contacts, make sure that you have the same brand of phone. Nokia will not work with blackberry or iphone.

It sounds like you use your phone to its full potential and it is working for you in the best way possible and i respect you for that as i often see like unemployed people these days with phones that do all this stuff and they havent got a clue what its all for and therefore its a wasted phone! so good for you pal, happy days.

I use my phone to call and to send text messages. My friends and I often communicate via text messages instead of calling eachother. It is cheaper that way, and text messages are convenient sometimes. If my friends are too busy, they can read the messages later and write back when they have time. But sometimes it is easier to call, it depends on the situation. I also use the alarm clock, the calculator and the camera. I also like to play some of the games especially sudoko.

I use mine for talking, texting, browsing the internet a little, and watching youtube videos. I have lotts of features on my phone, but haven't' used all of them as yet. Ny phone is bluetooth capabel, bu i don't have a bluetoth headset as they are spendy and I probably would never use it anyway. I do take pictures with it from time to time, and my daughter has sent me videos of my 3 year old grandson, that I really cherixh, as she lives in a different state than I do, and we won't see each other very much, so anything I get of my grandson really makes me feel good. Take care, and happy mylotting.

i havent used any of the apps on mine apart from the text service as i dont like the basic internet access that mine give although some are better now and i dont think i would wear a bluetooth headset as i think i would look too much of a poser. Ive heard bluetooth is good for copying stuff off of people though so that could be something for me to try maybe. But i think at the moment i will stick to what i know.

I use my Blackberry in much the same way that you describe. Twitter, and web pages, looking up local places, getting routes etc. I use about 70-80 minutes a month on calls, and most of that is incoming.
