It has been very cold as well as raining and yet still the ice cream man comes down our road in his icecream van playing the tune and not even my children wanted one as it was soo soo cold.Do you see your ice cream man in the winter trying to still sell his ice creams?

hi jugsjugs no it seems the icecream man had given up on Dawson street as so many vietnamese live here and they do not apparently like ice cream all that much.there are a few children along the length of the street but he never got many customers and when he came along I never had any pocket money so I could not help him out either.here in ca it does not get really cold, forty is about as low as it ever gets and thats in Jan or Feb.

I had to laugh when I moved from Kansas to Oklahoma then California. All those people who were wearing their winter coats and saying they were "cold" when it was 40. It should be a good place to sell icecream.

We live on a main road and therefore don't have an ice cream man.The estate next door used to have an ice cream van my two used to run like crazy to catch him. When we were kids we lived on an estate and we had two ice cream vans most days.My mum used to moan at them as did the other mothers so they took turns after that.We lived in the middle of nowhere on a small estate with loads of kids,so it was worth them turning up.Most people buy ice creams from the supermarkets so the ice cream man is an expensive treat. To call in the middle of winter is a bit off perhaps he could sell other goods as well to make it worth his while.Never thought about what ice cream sellers do in the winter.

After we moved into our house several months ago, it was the first time in years that I had seen an ice cream man, and I've actually been surprised at some of the days that he has come down our street peddling his goods. There have been rainy days and there have been some days that were quite chilly where he has come down the road. However, there has never been a day where either my son or my daughter did not want to go outside and buy an ice cream. It's been a few weeks since we've seen the ice cream man and for that I am thankful.

I have never lived anywhere that had an ice cream man.I always envied people that did. I didn't think they sold it in the winter. I know I wouldn't want to go outside and get one and I love ice cream.

No, the ice cream truck is very seasonal. Once the kids start back to school, he is gone. I would not buy ice cream from a truck in the cold, either.

I would not go out and buy an ice cream from the van either. It would be too cold. I think I would have done it if I was still a kid though. Kids never get tired of being cold or eating ice cream LOL.

Hi JJ,
We don' t have winter in our country only rainy season. Yes, ice cream man still sells ice cream and there are still lots of buyers. we only experience "cold" weather during the chrstmas season but most of the days in the year it's really hot even during the rainy season.

Since moving to this city, I have yet to see an ice cream man driving down the street, playing his magical music to lure us in and satisfy our sweet tooth. Sigh! Back home, there were plenty. I miss that. Down my street, we just have the creepy neighbor asking us for old coin and to lift heavy things. I prefer the ice cream man!
