Durian fruit is called a fruit for the gods here in our place, where it produces in abundance. Its rich and creamy meat all the more make the fruit-eating adventure an extra fulfilling experience. Eating durian fruit comes in a package, its very aromatic scent. Some visitors both foreign and local dislike it smell before they can even taste its fruit. Some who are adventurous enough would pinch their nose so as not to smell first before eating, and they succeeded, they like the meat. Would you like some...? Come, i would like to invite you to eat some, and feel like gods...

Yes, I know durian fruit. The first time I saw the fruit was when I was visiting Malaysia. Durian is a very popular fruit there, people like it very much. But, I didn't try it. I am not quite used to the very unique smell it has. However, I would think, after a while, I would get used to the smell, and can enjoy the taste of the fruit.

Durian!..wow,I just love durian, it's actually one of my favorite fruit. Some says that it's smell stinks but for me I just love the smell of durian. I don't know why but it's smell is really good for me. The fruit is so nutritious and yummy. But beware because too much eating of durian can cause hypertension.

hi alexysabelle! never had the stomach to eat durian. the scent is so repugnant it makes my stomach churn. my mom loves it though so everytime i have a chance i buy some for her but i never partake any of it. when she has her durian, she places it in a tightly sealed plastic container so the durian's scent doesn't overwhlem the fridge as well as the whoel kitchen. lol! i won't say no to your offer but i'll be sending my mom since she is the certified durian addict in our family. cheers!!!

oh my goodness!!! my mom and my boyfriend loves durian!! and it's funny cause me and my sisters, as well as our dad don't really like it (cause of its smell) so they'd actually eat outside the house. :) they say it's so delicious but i don't have enough courage to try one. :( but really, those who do love eating durian, says you're missing a lot when you don't eat it :) i somehow jealous of how they eat it because they seem to enjoy it so much :) maybe you should send some for my mom and boyfriend? lol!

The smell is really a huge turn off at first. I took one home before and did not wrap in sealed bag and whole fridge smelled so bad the next day. But overall, I like the taste of durian specially ones from Davao Philippines.

Hi there. I'm not quite sure if we're on the same side of the planet but personally, I come from the tropical country Philippines. Honestly, I haven't eaten durian fruit straight from a tree but I'm familiar with its taste because I've already eaten durian through the candy delicacies sold in the local market and through the ones given to me as "pasalubong". Anyway, I have to admit that I'm a sweet tooth and I do love sweet foods specially cakes, pastries, ice cream, chocolates, including durian. But what I'm curious about is regarding what other people claim that this fruit bears a foul odor, like you said. Is it really that awful? Regards and God speed.
