A bomb will be drop to where you are right now, there is a bomb shelter that will only fit 8 person but you are 15. Which of them do you think deserves to live? The following person are: an 60 yr. old doctor, 5 yr. old kid, a 23 yr. old Nun, A 70 yr. old Carpenter, A 45 yr. old scientist, A 23 yr. old Female clerk, a 40 yr. old teacher, 30 yr. old chef, 20 yr. old female nurse, and you an engineer. Which of them do you think are the best to live and whom do you think are the best to die and why?

actually, you have only provided us with 10 people
I'm going to guess that the one's you don't specify are females, are males...
Now, I normally see this kind of question as an "end of the world" scenario...
of the people you have provided the 8 I pick are:
60 yr. old doctor,
23 yr. old Nun,
70 yr. old Carpenter,
45 yr. old scientist,
23 yr. old Female clerk,
40 yr. old teacher,
20 yr. old female nurse
you an engineer.
Males can father children at any age, but women must be young enough to be able to have them.
So, while its tragic, the child can be replaced. You want to provide as much knowledge to be passed on to the next generation as possible, so you keep the people with the skills to be passed on.
However, as nice as a good chef is, it isn't a vital skill.
Oh, by the way, my dear religious person, it is now considered part of your Godly duty to be fruitful and multiply...

the actual fact is that I have lousy genetic material and if it were really me, I would exclude myself (being a 50+ yr old female is also part of it since I couldn't add to the genetic stock anyway)
however, even if I were a 20ish female, with my poor genetic load, I'd be wanting them to exclude me anyway
you would want to have healthy children to restock the world, not kids with migraines and tons of allergies

I would rather try to find a big enough shelter for us all or if not have us piled atop one another! Now if I had to choose, which i wish I would not have to, I would choose the child, the nun, the doctor, and the carpenter. I would choose the child because children are our future, the nun for spiritual healing, the doctor for medical healing, and the carpenter to rebuild.

You only gave us a selection of ten though you say there are fifeteen. I chose the one I felt would be most necessary to be honest... though like I said I would like to save all involved!

all the people who want to live should be able to live. no one should die. so i think whoever gets there first should get in the bomb shelter. first come, first serve. and others should go find somewhere else safe to hide, maybe someone's basement or attic.

Hi RJ,
I will be on the safe side...this is stressing me out. i want to save them all minus myself. I will pray for God's intervention, i will lift it all to him. it's not for me to decide. i don't have the right to choose who among them deserve to live and who among them need to die... i am not comfortable friend!

well, if they are a good leader with a good heart... i know they will not! they will be enlightened by the kind of decision i made.

Wow! Very Good quesion
I have no idea. Decision making is hard
I would say here its the survival of the fittest!
The ones who manage to get to the shelter would live and others would die
I am noone to value life

We cannot descrete the life by age or profession, in this juncture I will tell all the fiteen to run as fast as they can towards the bomb shelter, whoever left behind, has to die. How is my judgement??

If a bomb were to drop, the choices would be made for us, as we all die together.

well I think the best to live would be one the doctor, two the 5 year old kid, number three the 40 year old teacher, now if I am 15 years old I wouldn't want to die because I have a longer life a head of me then a lot of the other people besides the little 5 year old child. We need a doctor in case we get sick and the teacher for education, the nurse could come in handy as well she can help the doctor out in taking care of people that sick.

All of them deserve to live and if a person had any conscious at all, you would find a way to crowd everyone in there.

I know the child and the chef should be the sacrifices but I could not see anyone sacrificing a child.

Seems funny to me, well life is so dear, i must think about my life first, all are deserved to live, so let all run to the shelter, if the bomb falls, some will die, all may die or none will die, depends upon karma..
Thanks for sharing.
God bless you.
Cheers.

First of all, there are only 10 people so I only had to cross off two. I chose the 60 year old doctor because he is elderly, would not carry on the human race and we have a younger nurse that has medical knowledge. Second, I chose the 70 year old carpenter, basically for the same reasons. We may not have his carpentry skills to rebuild, but I'm an engineer.

My top priority is for the doc, kid, teacher and nurse that they should live. and rest let's toss abt their survival. I've selected the doc because he would be for a some use as a doc, regarding teacher, atleast she can teach, and the kid and nurse are too young enough to die. so let's save these.
