How long do you take to eat Lunch?

I was thinking about this as I was typing an e-mail to an acquaintance about recent events w/ my DD1. They only get 20 minutes to eat & that includes the time they have to stand in line to get their food. I dunno about you but it usually takes 30 minutes at home for everyone to get their meal consumed & seconds ect.
I know at my job I get 1 paid 15 min break if I work 4 hours, if I work 6 hrs I get a 20 min paid break, if I work 7.5-8 hrs I would get two 15 min paid breaks & a 30 min unpaid break for "lunch".

Hello everybody
How can they be able to eat their lunch? This time is merely enough for breakfast if it requires to stand in line. They deserve at least 45 min for the Lunch Break.
At home I usually take 20 min for my lunch but that may change according to what I am eating. If its my favorite I may take 10 min extra as I don't have to stand in my line and wait for my turn.
Good Luck,
Happy mylotting.

i eat my lunch for more time.i take lot of time to eat,i don't tried even to eat fast.if i had no time i just leave the food without eating but i don't know to eat fast,my parents always ask me to eat fastly but i can't do it.some says that its good habit of eating slowly.eating slowly makes the food digest easily.but some feels its a bad habit, when we don't have time eating fast we save our time but if we eat fastly our body doesn't digest the food easily and the person becomes fat due to cholestrol.

Your work is nice then mine was. We only got 1/2 hour for lunch and no breaks. There was not enough time to go and get lunch or do anything at lunch time. Now that I work from home I take about 15 to 20 mintues for eating lunch another 10 minutes or so to prepare lunch for me and my youngest son. When my other two are home from school it takes longer to prepare and eat because we talk a lot.

My kids get 30-45 minutes for their lunch. At home we don't need any longer than 20 minutes, they're fast eaters, but at school with the standing in line and all that... I'd say at least 45 minutes!

Hmm, I don't usually take more than 20 minutes to eat my food. That's also because I don't eat very much when I'm working. I only go to places where I know the queue won't be that long or in case that it is, I take something that won't consume my lunch hour that I wont be able to get back on time.

I suppose it all depends. Some jobs require that you use your entire lunch break, and other don't like you taking more than 10 minutes. Also it depends on if my place of work is really busy. Then to maintain my work ethic I eat just enough to get me through the rest of my shift and get back to work as quickly as possible.

Anymore, not that much time! lol I have a demanding 11 month old crawling about. I usually just shove a sandwich down, or guzzle a slimfast! 5- 10 minutes at present. Since I work from home it isn't an issue. But when I worked in an office I was paid for my lunch breaks as well.

This sound like my daughter's school. I don't think they give the kids enough time for lunch. They are supposed to have a half hour of lunch time but they only get about 20 minutes. It takes them time to get in line to go into the cafeteria then if someone is talking they all get time subtracted from their lunch. I can't tell you how many kids have complained to their parents that there isn't enough time to finish their lunch. Nothing like scarfing down your food.
I feel sorry for the kids.

It takes me about 15 to 20 minutes to eat lunch or any meal for that matter. However, just getting a 15 or 20 minute lunch break is crazy. I think it should be at least 30 minutes. I remember when I was working an hour is what I use to get. It was great. I had time to eat and even take a short nap.

For me lunch is just a very quick snack, and it doesn't take more than 10-15 minutes to eat, and consider I'm a very slow eater!!
