I play chutes and ladders and candy land and the memory games with my 4 year old grand daughter. Her attention span is not very long at a time. We are working on playing the games though. She plays very well. Happy Mylotting

Hello friend,
Yes,i do.
Me and my kids loves to play some games, and with board games,we play snake and ladders.
We even keep joking about this game...my kids says...why did the sports coordinators will not include snake and ladders at international games(hehehe)
We also play chess and scrabble...and sometimes jackstone

As much as my 3 kids love the computer or their ds or playstation, we at least once a week sit down and play a board game. Their current favourite game is called 'frustration', but they also love downfall, operation and mousetrap.
I think my youngest is still a little young for games like monopoly or scrabble. But we have both for when she is ready. My oldest who is nine has started to play chess. He has joined the chess club at school. I'm not the greatest chess player but we sometimes play together.
I think it is good to find time to do things together as a family. It makes the family much closer. The Wii computer is good because you can play sport games together like bowling, in your own living room. Its all about finding time for your family.

I was playing board games with my children. But now they are grown up, two married and they have their own work schedules and separate homes. One is busy with her studies, violin etc. So they hardly talk to me. She does not find time to play with me.

I can't say from a parent's point of view because I have no kids. As a child, my parents were uninterested in board games so I usually played with my brother. I used to like board games though. Some of them, I still quite enjoy playing. Kids these days are more interested in technology, I guess. Back 15 years ago, we just had that family computer but now kids got more options.
