Now a days everybody is more or less very careful about health and weight. Generally i found many persons considers the calorie intake while choosing menu. Extra alertness about food by consumers has made food businessmen to go for diversification of food items. Now a days sugar free...., zero calorie...., diet ... drinks etc many things have come up in our daily foods. I am generally careful about my food intake because of my weight mostly and also about health affair.
Do you count or consider the calorie value while choosing any menu?
Have a great day.

yup i watch my calorie intake, for most bodybuilders theres certain amount of calorie we need to consume depending on weigth and rate of metabolism, so we always mind the calorie value in choosing menu or any food, not only calorie but also with carbs and fats, excess nutrients needed by our body will converted to fats and we don't want to happen...

thanks my muscle friend, yup i don't forget 100% gold standard whey protien plus natural protien foods and omega3/extra virgin olive oil for my healthy fat,
....about your question bornhan, yes it's true we need carbs/calorie to build more exta muscle but there's a certain amount we need to take cause excess of it will turn to fat in our body..but there time we totally zero out carbs/calorie intake especially when competition is coming near...

fortunately the menu in many eating places do not mention calorie yet, so we can eat in peace, without thinking about calories.
I dont usually pay attention to calories, unless the food is extremely rich or extremely healthy, then i will check to see how the calories as compared to other food.
One local dish, laksa, is a noodle dish extremely rich and does not really fill the stomach. My colleague checks on the calories and read some articles about it. It seems that you need to cycle 11 hours just to digest the calories from eating the noodle.
The problem is that it does not even make you feel full.

Yes I have a habit of reading the information about a specific product i'm going to buy. Because there are some substances or ingredient that is really bad for our health and we are not aware of that. Sometimes they just look on the brand. i know brand products has greatly impact to the consumer but consumer must be always careful. Weather changes, and products changes too. Now our food we eat sometimes they have more preservatives than before that's why people don't live long nowadays.

I guess most people who want to lose weight may count and consider the calorie value while taking some foods carefully.
For me, I tend to pay no attention to the calorie because I am so thin and want to gain weight. Apart from taking foods, If I spend some extra time on caring for how much calories they are putting into their mouths, I think I will waste more calorie, which is useless for me obviously.
Everyday, I have some spare time, what I want is to eat as more as foods.

Not quiet. I think you only have to worry about eating good meals in good portions and you're ok, you don't need to know the calories. Following a good diet and doing excercise is enough

I eat out very rarely, once in a blue moon so i don`t have much worries about putting on weight which has been constant for a long time. Moreover i do not take sugar but add Sugar Free Natural in my tea, coffee. Also i am not fond of sweets and very rarely eat any sweet or chocs, so i don`t have to worry about counting calories.

I have gotten into the habit of reading the ingredients and the nutrition facts on everything I buy. I check for calories, total fat contents and sodium. So many items have an unbelievable amount of sodium its crazy and its not good for you. Soups and frozen foods have a lot of sodium. So yes I check everything and pick the healthier foods.

I always read the labels of everything I buy. I count the calories and make sure the fat, fiber, and sodium contents are okay. I keep track of how many calories I eat each day and find that I won't eat extra snacks because I don't want to have to write it down. I am disabled and use my arms a lot and the less I weigh the easier it is to get around. Also I don't have the money to buy a new wardrobe if I gain weight. I don't eat out a lot anymore but I wish more reasturants would put calories counts on their menus.

I have lost 60lbs since February. I never once counted calories. I did not buy sugar free or things that were diet or had zero calories. I went down 4 pant sizes. All I did was watch HOW much I ate in one sitting and of course the one thing everyone does not want to do exercise. My exercise consisted of sit ups 3 times and week and walking.

here in the province where i live it is manditory that companies list the nutritional contents that the food contains and i usually do read it. i often take it into consideration but i am not a very good eater and often just dont eat because i am not hungry so i dont pay as much attention to it as i probably should.

I don't really count calories but I do consider what I take. For example, I wouldn't eat a fried candy bar because that's just loaded with calories and it's like a heart attack in bar form. I try and pace myself with junk food and when I feel like I'm taking too much sugar, I refrain from it.
