Smallest thing, makes you happy.

Yesterday my 3 year old granddaughter came home with her parents after being on vacation for 6 days. When they drove up to the driveway I ran out to see her. She had the biggest smile on her face. She ran into my arms and I picked her up it was the happiest moment that I have had in a lone time. She was looking at me as if she thought she was never going to see me again. She held onto me so tight, I loved it. Yes I agree we don't really need alot to be happy within our souls. My granddaughter made me so happy which last the whole day.

I think tea and music are the smallest things that make me happy, well, then again so does rain, but i dont know if that can be considered small...depends on how you look at it. Then again, my love, just her looking at me makes me happy, the moments where she looks into my eyes and understands. Where we can laugh at anything at all, even bad things. Yet, i dare not call these small things, they mean alot to me and therefore arent small..

Small things that make me happy are: kindness I receive from my colleagues, from my boss, from other people around me; When I receive an appreciative remark from other people that I've done a good job; when I receive some greeting cards from my friends; or an email from some friends I have not contacted for a long time; when someone say good morning to me at the park; when my special someone calls me; when I also receive calls from my nephew; when someone makes me laugh; when I hear a music I like.

My pet Xiefu, a very lovely dog, makes me happy every time I come home from a day of a very tiring work. She welcomes me everyday by jumping and barking at me joyously.

Well.I am a optimist. A lot of simple things can make me happy~~~~~~~~~Some delicious food,a hug from my boyfriend, a party with my friends,so many:)

Small things that make me happy? My children laughing, playing, singing..dancing around like crazy loons. I am happy just having the ability to walk. I know so many people suffer great ailments and we all take for granted having certain functions that others do not. I appreciate the opportunity to shine my light another day. I appreciate the fact that every person has the ability to touch hundreds of lives just through words, art, music, or poetry. We are all rich.

Hi there Borhan When my Children where younger that is always what made me happy coming home to their lovely smiles hugs and love My Children still make me happy now they are 22 and 25 and they always tell me that they love me when we talk on the Phone every Day Also my little Dog Gissi makes me happy, he is such a joy and has a great Personality My b/f makes me happy with his love and care for me I personally say the biggest happiness is love ..........not money or what you have, just to feel and give the Love that is happiness

Ahhh yes! The little things in life! The things that make me happy is when my little ones tell me I am a good mom! Actually, this morning my 6 year old made me toast and coffee with strawberries on top. It was awesome. I love it when the dog is happy to see me and runs to hug me for it! My dad knows that I love pigs and collect them and yesterday he sent a picture of his friends dog and then played this noise in the background. When I spoke to him I made it clear that it was a piggy and he responded that it was his friends and he would love to get it from him for me! That made my day. My mom calling me to harrass me(in a fun way). I love it when Josh (my beau) brings home some candy, or roses, or gets the house cleaned up before I get home. It's the little things that matter most. I could drive a Chevette over a Mercedes Benz anyday!

ya it depends upon individual as u see some people are just happy because they are alive and some people are sad cause they are making 5 million instead of 7 million in a year. i feel like the later are the people whom we must have pity on. it is useless if you go to paris and new york do all kind of world tours but can enjoy flower in your garden.

Hi, you really have a happiness family, and a cute daughter For me everyday day I come back to house, and I can cook myself, and enjoy my own supper, this sounds like lonely, but I really like cooking, and enjoy my own food, and then I know I can do better the next time. The happiest time of the day is the moment I go to bed, and can have a good sleep, because I need to get up early in the morning, so don't have enough sleep every night, have a good sleep can make me so happy.

I agree completely. I think sometimes people take things for granted and want too much that they neglect to appreciate what little things life has to offer. I don't have kids but I have pets. They make me happy when I come home after a long day. They're sweet and excited to see me when I arrive and that makes me happy.

For me, I am happy that I am being able to go to school now despite of financial problems and unexpected obstacles in life. I am happy that I have friends around me who are always there in good and bad times. Even though I don't express myself much to them, deep inside I am already happy whenever I see them happy and smiling. I am also happy whenever I see the sun shining on me, knowing that I am still alive and capable to live. Take care! :)

what makes me happy and smilling is when i came home my two dogs rushed at me at hug my legs so tight and they always fight each other who will be the first to hug me tight, second thing that would me happy is my flowering plants, they like they great me with smile and fragnance...

Hi, I also thing that the small things in life make us happy more than we could think. As you say the hugh from a chlid or just one little small, are something so big for some people that they prefer to see more from these small things than the bigger one, like making presnts, become a job, receive payments and so on. Sometimes we must sit down and think about all these small things in our life, that makes us happy. I already have posted a discussion about these small things in our life, that makes us happy and gives us strenght to go on, to make our dreams come true. The support from a friend, his/her moral support maybe is something small and unimportant to many people, but for others that means a lot. The first step of the little baby is just on small step for the big man, but for itsself and for its parents, it is something big, it's something magnificent. Just like when Neil Armstrong goes to the moon and makes his first step, some says: "A little step for a man, a big step for humanity". Or the first movement of a man, who have problems with the moves, because of some illness or an accident. it'll be some very small, maybe just a finger move or a step, but it'll mean a lot for him/her. Or other small things like ice cream, or the sunny weather- these small things make us also happy. Or the good note at the school- yes, it's just one simple note, but it can means a lot. So once again, we must ponder over these small things in our life, and than we'll realize how much they mean to us.

Yes this is true.I always enjoy time with my family.My wife's smile is the pleasing sight for me as I get lot of pleasure in the same. So it really depends on personal interest of what we look into to keep us happy.

small things are the best in life we expect from people and that is what we dont get and are made to think what that the other person has not provided us with the small thing in life will he be here to provide me with other things that i envy about or crave a lot. One small wish that goes unfulfilled is of greater problems to people than fulfilling the greatest requests by anyone.
