For me color black is a color, a word that is created by humans to compromise with a substance that is darkly colored.
Black is a mysterious color, we do not know what lies beneath it, black is not really dark, for dark is evil, black is only a representative of individuals who have many questions in life that cannot be answered by a ordinary human being. Black is where the unexplainable things happens. A very wide and deep, much deeper than the ocean. Black is Black! How about you? What is black for you?

Black is the basic color. It is the beginning. To produce a certain color, we begin from the basic. We begin by adding a color to the basic color which is black. Then as we add a color, we produce another color. Oftentimes, we think white is the basic color but it's not. It is actually the presence of all colors.
Black is classy, elegant and best of all, it tricks the eyes by making ME look slim, hahaha....

I beg to disagree. White is the presence of all colors and black is the absence of all colors.

O my.. but why is that if we mixed all the color, the result will be black? I am not saying that white is the absence or even the presence of color cause white is plain white. Can you think of 5 colors that when you mixed it up it will produce white? I know there are colors that if you mixed up it will result into black but i don't think white. I think what you are trying to say is about light, the absence of light is darkness and i read almost everything about that, even the theory of Albert Einstein about that. But i think when you mixed up all colors the result will be black not white. But i do agree that darkness is the absence if light, and Evil is the absence of God in our hearts. Anyway if we will really focus in this topic i think this will not end, this relationship of white and black, dark and light is very deep and wide and is unreachable by human minds. It will really confuse us and will make us back to the same topic and points of view. Anyway thank you so much for the persistent and nice response.

I think black is the presence of all colors, cause you see if you mix all the color the result will be black, but anyway that's what you believe in i cannot argue with you about that. And you are right a black dress can make us look slim. Thank you so much for the response.

Black is my favorite color but for me, it means energy. Many people said that it's an evil color, darkness and etc. Come on! think of it. Why do people have black hair, black eyes, black suits, black skin, black eyebrow? Does it mean that they were part of evil, demons or any negative sides. Black is just a color and color means life. Without color, what is life??

Black is the absence of light. Black holes eat light, as black colored things absorb it too.
That`s why is so painful to dress in black in summer.

To me, black represents darkness but not necessarily evil. It represents an emotion that is of sadness or something of the sort. It represents teenage rebellion, it represents heavy metal music.

For me, black is versatility
Black can be anything you want it to be. It can be the color of elegance or color of hip-hop or rock or metal. It can be the color of mourning, but it can also be the color of celebration. I like black because I think it is versatile. It just depends on how you dress it up, how you accessorize or how you wear it or use it.
Have a nice day!

The meaning of black really depends on who will perceive it. If a person perceive as darkness it will be darkness, if a person perceives it mystery it will be mystery, and if it perceive as only a color it will be a color black so it really depends on the person will perceive the color black. Cheers! Very nice answer.

The color black for me is a slimming color. Whenever I feel fat when I wake up in the morning, I always find myself wearing a black shirt in order for me to look thinner. lol. It really is a very strategic color to wear. Wear black pants and for sure your thighs will look a little slimmer or wear a black shirt, somehow your waistline will look a few inches smaller. I don't know if my mind is just playing tricks on me or if black really does make me slim. lol.

Hey mate , we meet again !
According to me black is the sign of luxury and carelessness.
a couple of hours ago i mentioned this colour for all of my suits. I love black, i even use black as my name whilst playing counter strike and my favourite kurta is also black.
black resembles evil but it depends if evil is bad looking?
I have loved the look of evil in any cartoon or clip art.

From an artistic point of view black is all color together..Give that thought a theological twist and consider Adam and Eve and one knows the pigmentation of those two who, in their creation, carried the genetic base of what folks consider to be racial differences tho', obviously, there is but one race..but that carries on in another discussion..
It also represents shadow and as things in shadow are indecernible it represents fear and uncertainty..
Black is not darkness, as you say. Darkness is the absence of light. Light is color as black is color..for instance, where I work our uniform is black shoes, black pants with which can be worn black jacket/hoodie and black cap. One would think that there'd be an obvious match yet rarely does it happen because black has shades/values as any color does..
Enjoy!

For me BLACK is not only a colour. Black means negative, darkness, pain, sorrow, rain, mud, cry, tears. You know "yin and yan"? Search it's meaning in any search engine, you will find the reasons why i told this. Thank you.

Black seems mysterious to me. Being so dark and deep, you really don't know what's in it.

Well, black means power. Could also mean dark and evil. It just depends on what you make of it. People in business normally wear dark colors but are we all evil? No. It's perception and expression. To me, I don't consider black as evil as a general rule. It depends.

Black is actually the absence of color, A black screen on your monitor is more energy efficient than a white screen, Black is a term used to describe people of African decent. Black is a "color" that represents sorrow and mourning.
Black is black as you said.. I really don't think black means anything in particular.
