Have you ever thought that you were underpaid from your job, and all the work you done for it? I have this opinion when I was working at my part - time job. I was working in a restaurant, and I have to do hundreds of chores, and sometimes, I never got my appreciation. Instead, I got scold. Basically, I have to help people this and that, and I have answer the phone and get all the to - go orders to be ready. On the other hand, the owner lady simply sit there doing nothing, and I have to share my tips with her. I just felt like underappreciated, and underpaid. Don't you feel that sometimes too?

The majority of my jobs have been as a receptionist. Let me tell you, nobody realizes what we go through on a daily basis! With the piles and piles of paperwork, never-ending phone lines ringing off the hook, and rude clients, we are definitely not paid enough.

When it comes to the salary, I guess most people may be not satisfied with our current jobs because they all think they are underpay from the job.
Although I work hard all the time, my salary is really very low. Of course, I won't get complained with it because there are still many people who are jobless now. For the financial crisis, many people have suffered the bad situation and are laid off. So, compared with these people, people who have a job is really lucky, even if its low-paid job.
It is useless to complain about the salary. In my eyes, it is wiser to pay much attention to our current job and leave a good impression to our bosses.

In most european countries I'm underpaid, but in my country I earn pretty well for my job.
The average salary for a directiona secretary in my contry is 800 euros per month, I get 1000...but anywhere else in europe they'll get 1200...

yes.. because when I was asked what is my expected salary, since I'm just a fresh graduate at that time, I just mentioned 13K. After my 6 months probationary period, there was no regularization increase. I've been in a company for 1 year now... and yet there is no increase. I'm looking for a better job that I can apply next year.
Sometimes I think I don't deserve my salary.
I feel not excited when it is our pay day. _

Yes, I feel that I am underpaid. It is a very sad story. I didn't get any hike in salary due to recession. The company was about to pay us the salary hike and soon the recession happened. I don't think my company is very much affected by recession, but they are taking the name of recession as an advantage and excuse for not giving salary hike to the employees for the past 2.5 years. I don't know how long I can take it. I am extremely disappointed and demotivated.

Yes, i would answer it that way because my former boss is a very stingy person. She always expect her staffs to contribute more than she is giving compensation back to her staffs. I formerly worked in a trading company as an admin staff, maintaining everything for my boss, including maintaining her personal expenses and payments as well. Sometimes, i had to stay back and do some overtime time jobs which is mainly her personal matters, which she don't have time to maintain them herself. But, she never allowed me to claim overtime money for those tasks. In the end of the month, i only received my normal salary which based on completing my normal day jobs. Seems like, that is just as a volunteer job, to helped her when she is busy...

If you are not happy with your job or you are not satisfied with your employer you might as well look for another job instead of complaining. Better to be underpaid than unemployed in this time of crisis. Know exactly what you want to do and be happy doing it in spite of the pay.

You can't expect the owner lady do something.
What she care most is profit.
She sit here just to monitor you guys, not to do something with you.
I think you could just make yourself look like being busy at this part-time job.
If I were you, I quit already.
I don't live on this part-time job, why do I force myself being scold over there?

Basically I am now working my sweat out but not well compensated so I am having a hard time what's the best thing to do because we are partly owner & it seems like they are giving priorities to the employees than us who are working so hard.

the owner lady is the boss ,she has the right to do anything ,just need to mange her staff ,she give you the salary ,so you need to try your best to do work ,if she think you are great she will upgrade your salary one day ,so keep your mood balace .
for me ,i am working an import and export trading company , now the business is not so good and we are not very busy ,so i think my salary is just the task .but i also hope i can get more salary in the near future.
