I usually wait until I am asked, but for instances like online forums and discussions boards, I express my privilege of being free.

i usually wait until im asked unless its something i feel very strongly about and the other person is talking badly about it or doesnt have all the facts.

I used to be a really quiet person, but am finding that I am much more vocal as I get older.
