I came to know first time, that today is men's day.The members who are celebrating, gave an interview with Television channel that, the following causes are the reason to celebrate. 1]They want equal rights as women is enjoying, from Government. 2]Recognize them, they too have emotions, feelings etc..Don't picturize all men as villains. 3]As somany family members depend on them for earnings, hard work, that extent they want identification. 4]They want some financial benefits from Government, when they cheated completely by women...like that..he gave statements so many.. COMMENT ON THIS...

This is sounding like just another capitalist merchants invention from America that is designed to get people to spend money. They have made nearly every day in the year a something or someone day. Of course there are a stack of people that don't think about that, but think Mens Day is great. I think it is a pile of rubbish designed to extract finds. Throw it away.

hi,VKXY,Ofcourse, but there is something real also in men's life.Men getting in touch with their emotions, their inner self and the contributions they made or they make towards family, society, country and the world often sacrificing their own selfish interests. Since ages men risked their lives for protecting and providing for the family, elders and children. On International Men’s Day, the contributions of all men ie sons, brothers, fathers, friends and husbands are acknowledges by family, friends and society. Greeting cards for men’s day are also on their way. Have a great day.

I didn't know about men's day but if men are entitled to demand things from their Government and complain about things, I think women should be able to as well. Many countries and cultures do not allow this.

hi,rg,The etails are below- International Men's Day is an international event celebrated on November 19 every year. It was inaugurated in 1999 in Trinidad and Tobago and was supported by the United Nations[1], and received in principal support from men's groups in USA, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. “This is an excellent idea and would give some gender balance.” Have a nice time and great day.

I wasn't aware that there was a specific 'Men's Day', no. I'll celebrate by birching myself in penance for the wrongs committed by men throughout recorded history; how's that for '21st century boy'? Whilst I disagree with the notion that "all men are b*stards", I do think 95% of men fit into this category. I also think that society is still institutionally biased in favour of men; I think patriarchy exists everywhere, and I find it sickening. Today, as every other day, I'll be musing on gender inequality... but it's not men that I think have the rough of it!

Hi,MJay,One thing i can't understand,if people like you from U.K,feels the gender inequality, what's the situation in countries like India, china, sri lanka.... There you are enjoying Dating before marriage under the shadow of understanding, later upto them to continue or not..if not again you have a chance of date with another guy... You have a chance of take Divorces whenever you want from guys and marry again and again when ever you want with another guy.. I don't understand what inequality... Have a great day.

I didn't know we had a men's day. We celebrate Father's Day here. I do think it's great to promote better male role models, many who we conventionally think of role models such as sports figures and entertainers can let us down. (Although we probably shouldn't hold those up as examples i the first place.) I don't know about the gender equality thing, men have long been MORE than equal here. Women certainly don't get paid more than men or get the better jobs!

Hi,ElanaS1,WORLD looking men as money producing machine and they do have emotions, feelings, which can't outspoken like women..they want some recognition from society..there are men cheated by women for mere money.position...even personality and smartness also..what is the fate of those men....THESE ARE ALL THE POINTS THEY WANT TO DISCUSS.You want get paid more for women..for what purpose and why..You know many multinational company's CEO's are women only.
