Do you try to look like your fav celebrities or sound like your fav singers?

many times i find myself trying to sing exactly like my favorite singer in a particular song which i think he or she sounds well on. but of course in my self i feel i have done a good job but in other people's ear, i may sound so so terrible when i try to imitate my favorite singers. and sometimes i wish i could look or dress my like my favorite celebrities. but it is quite hard. but i find it cool if in some way that we can imitate them .
i think that many of us have done that many times before specially during our childhood years. as children try to imitate any thing they see on television. so what are those things that you have imitated.

Hi Hotsummer,
I can't sound like my favorite singers(Regine Velasquez, Barbra Streisand) because I don't sing very well. I can't look like my favorite stars (Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore) bacause...it's just impossible hehehe. I like singing and I do it my own way, and even if I try to sound like them I may just be like a "second rate trying hard copycat".

yeah thuogh we can't actually sound or look like them but in our selves we can be as good as them. in our own feeling only though. though not in reality. it just feels good to pretend sometimes that we can be exactly like them in some ways.

Celebrities are one of the most influential people in our lives besides family and friends. We try to walk, talk, act, dress like them because we admire them. We want to be like them sometimes to point of following their mistakes. You are right, we try to imitate what we see in television and in magazines. Which i think is wrong, instead of us having our own identity we are so proud being like our fav celebrity.

yeah celebrities have really big impact specially to young ones and even to us adults. i still get fascinated by some celebrities and i will say i am very much tempted to imitate them in some ways so often times. but i still not try to let that fascination get me to be so obsessed to be like them . i just try to balance things out my admiration and what i should be or how should i look or act towards other people. i still don't want to lose my self identity. it is good once in a while to wander into some illusion by acting or trying to look or act like my fav celebrities. but should not take my whole identity.

nah, I only do it when I am joking around!! Like Cyndi Lauper in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, that's fun to imitate, but I know I am just myself. Someone else said individuality is better and it is!!

yeah liking your own self and style and individuality is much much better than trying to imitate any one
